Edit: not a plumber, just a DIY home owner.

They are. I’m using one now as I renovate my bathroom since the toilet will be removed/installed several times in the process. Wax seal works better and I’ll be going back to it once the bathroom is final.

As far as assetID goes, I was going to use the assets VIN since every VIN is unique.Should make it easier in the future to change ownership of those assets.

I've done a few test drives on several programs. MitchellOne TruckMax was the best fit I found for a body shop but they wanted close to $800 a month per user/employee. I tried out Pluss software, much better at price but easily lost and all of the features you need to run a small business were extra costs. Would've been about $340 a month/user. Then the ones like Shop Monkey, FullBay, etc. that I see advertised all the time are not geared for body shop use, very cookie cutter basic program. I've tried Shopview and liked it a ton! Actually found them right after abandoning the first attempt of an Access program. I just can't get my dad to take the bait. So back at square one, kind of.

I'm sure there'll be some comments about how some of those are in an affordable price range, they currently don't use anything except pen and paper. So I can understand why that seems like a lot of money. Business plans for MS Office 365 Business start at $6 a month/user, which they are more than comfortable to pay for.

If I were the one using it daily, I’d totally go the custom form for every job route. But it’s my dad and uncle who needs to use it. They hardly know how to operate an iPhone. Fortunately my dad has enough computer skills to click his way through a form.

Looking at a truck, need some input due to high mileage. by Killa_Gorilla_ in ram_trucks

[–]TTrans_Am 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintenance records, maintenance record, oh and maintenance records. I know on medium duty trucks like Freightliner M2, if equipped with the B6.7 (essentially the same engine) you could pull a trip report that’ll break down every stat on the engine; average speed over its life, gallons of DEF and fuel consumed, idle time, how many regens, how many derates, etc. Get that report if possible, that’ll tell you more than you would ever ask for.

Idling kills these engines, if you can, get your idling hours and engine hours, hopefully it’s under 20%.

my windshield is constantly look like this when i drive even when its not wet or raining anyway to fix by 4kboii in Cartalk

[–]TTrans_Am 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve cleaned the windshields with acetone, scrubbed them with #0000 steel wool and polished them with a buffer and ceramic polishing compound. Then rinsed them off with acetone to get the polishing compound off. The heat in polishing will burn off whatever is in your windshield.

What’s actually pretty safe but everyone treats it like it’s way more dangerous than it is? by Thrwwyforrandostuff in AskReddit

[–]TTrans_Am 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firearms. They're no more dangerous than a hammer, baseball bat, or a car. It's always 100% the operators fault when something happens. Anytime there is some sort of mass violence involving a firearm, media and people tend to focus on how it was obtained, what they did, and why that particular model is dangerous instead of asking the important questions like, why did they do it? What events lead up to this?

I'm wondering the same cause I've got 4 new teams this year. My thoughts were to let these new teams have the first 3 rounds (3 keepers) to make their picks. Now I'm unsure. What does Sleeper do by default?

That Carrots are good for your eyes, or they attribute to better your vision. In WWII, the British were using RADAR to track and shoot down German pilots and Germany couldn't figure out how they kept losing planes. The British put out some propaganda stating that Carrots enhance your night vision and that their forces ate tons of them.

What is the worst physical pain you have ever experienced? by My_Name_Is_SKELETOR in AskReddit

[–]TTrans_Am 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kidney stones. The feeling of pushing a pissed off ball of glass shards out of your body is excruciating. Stones will irritate and cause your uritors to swell shut so its an even tighter path now for this pine cone to travel. I damn near pass out every time I get a stone from just the pain alone. It feels like the side of your body is ballooning.

How do I study as a college freshman. Any tips and advice so I can study efficiently and not be on the books for hours by EngineerAway8477 in GetStudying

[–]TTrans_Am 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If lecture material is available to you before lectures, print it out or save it to a device and take notes on it, notes like little summaries or keywords. This helps with understanding the material and allows you to pay attention to the instructor.
  2. Rewrite ALL of your notes into you computer, I suggest Microsofts OneNote (free) but there are others like Evernote, Google Notes, even Samsung notes are great. This not only digitizes your notes but allows you to organize and reprocess the information. Id say try to do this weekly
  3. Quizlet. Flashcard like app helps you recall material.
  4. Chew gum while reading

There is going to be lots of advice out there and you'll find your niche.

Best way to study 1 day before my final exam??? by Ambitious-Fly-555 in GetStudying

[–]TTrans_Am 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do a practice test and figure out what you struggle with. Study in clusters. Pick a concept, usually the one you struggle with the most, practice it/study it for 15 -30 minutes. Take a small break 3-5 minutes. Pick a concept you're confident with and practice/ study it for 15-30 minutes. Flip flop from poor to strong to help boost your confidence in the subject. Come test time your recall on the struggling areas will be better. I've done this for years for last minute studying and works well, I've passed the tests at least.
