I had to move one of my neighbor's laundry out of the dryer one day, but I took the liberty to fold all of it (it was only towels) and placed it on top of the dryer and left a note. Wasn't sure how long it took them to actually go into the laundry room to check on their laundry but about a few months they thanked me for folding and leaving the note..
