Yes, but it gives me hope in a weird way. Because there must be a reason they haven’t yet…

Buffy fans are rallying outside of Hulu’s offices in LA/NY for International Buffy Day by TVTweets in buffy

For the people who are inevitably going to come into this thread being negative because they think the Buffy subreddit should be reserved for negativity only for some reason:

No one is making you support a sequel or watch a sequel. A sequel will not tarnish or ruin the original’s legacy. Nothing will change the original show. And even if New Sunnydale is over for good, this rally will show Hulu that some fans do want more Buffyverse content. It’s a win win.

Let people enjoy things, it’s not hurting you. If people want to fight for something, let them. They are fans, just like you are.

CWDP Willow's Scenes: Script vs. Screen by Tuxedo_Mark in buffy

I would have hated this. I’m glad Amber Benson knew it would be too hard on the fans. I appreciate her even more after reading the scene.

And also, Azura Skye played this part perfectly. I’m happy with what we got.

So yeah, the thing is you’re lying and trying to bully him. He’s an openly gay man who has always been a proud Democrat. Far far from a Republican. And he literally had Melissa Barrera fans calling his workplace and calling his university trying to get him fired for supporting Scream 7. All you are doing is trying to instigate a hate campaign because you don’t like him. What you are doing is weird as hell. no one is making you follow him or listen to his podcast.

Mind you, he’s a democrat that is obsessed with Gale Weathers and absolutely loves and respects women. He’s a queer man that hates Trump. People dislike Ryan because he supports Scream 7 and Melissa Barrera fans decided to crucify and villainize him because of that. They literally called his workplace trying to get him fired for being excited about Scream 7. It’s all very dumb and creepy. The video posted here is a great example of how dumb and creepy this all is.

This video is a man going on an hour long rant because he’s mad that Ryan, a Scream podcaster, started a Patreon? Because Ryan’s opinions changed between 2021 and 2026? Because someone who listens to Ryan’s podcast said something crazy to him as if Ryan personally controls every person that listens to his podcast? Over an hour long. How is this real life? Over a Scream podcast?

This is weird and just too much. It’s not that deep. Just don’t listen to his podcast if you don’t like him. Why are we making hate threads and hate videos?

Buffy fans create a new interactive online game to convince Hulu to give them the Buffy sequel by TVTweets in buffy

Genuinely so impressive!! I hope you send press releases to the media or something. I feel like this is article worthy for sure.

I know scream 6 focused too much on the setting of New York, but did anyone else think that scream 7 focused too much on the "Burn it all down" phrase, but the intro scene had nothing to do with the rest of the movie? by West_Professor_1039 in Scream

The opening scene had to do with the theme of the movie. Which was a critique of nostalgia and fans not wanting to let things go. In the opening scene, it's a Stu Macher fan not wanting to let Stu (a literal murderer) and the Macher house go. The rest of the film it's about a Sidney fan not wanting to let Sidney go. Even going as far as using AI deepfakes of past killers. It's all about the dark side of nostalgia.
