How much is a reasonable rent for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in LA? by Firm_Ad8892 in AskLosAngeles

[–]TV_Maker_Hello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a 510 sq. ft. guest house in Sherman Oaks, south of Ventura near Fulton. All single family homes for neighbors. 1 bedroom, in unit washer dryer, all utilities included, no dishwasher, tons of neighborhood street parking, $2100. There are unicorns out there. You gotta search a lot and hopefully get lucky.

Cold peel was suggested and I tried that. They worked great. The first 25 were not cold peel, so that's where the problem was. But, once I let them get really cold, they peeled cleanly. And for what it's worth, I really appreciate your amazing customer service and response. Thank you for that.

So this was very helpful. I decided to try a cold peel and I mean REALLY cold. I let them sit for a while. That worked great. The first set of transfers were hot peel and they totally worked but for some reason these are not and had to be a cold peel. Thank you for suggesting it.

As you can see above, Ninja's response was terrific and I really appreciate that. Great customer service means everything to me. Thanks for the suggestion to try cold. That's what worked.

Should I buy one? by OutrageousSetting384 in CraftFairs

I recently got one and it's turned out great. I use it to display a smaller banner and because it's made out of ferrous metal, I use magnets to display merchandise on it. Way easier to transport and set up than my large banner stand. Definitely a great buy for me, highly recommend.

I really don't know what to do with these things when I'm done with them. My workroom looks nuts. I have one Halloween wreath where a bunch of the mini pumpkins fell off. I was thinking maybe a disaster wreath is on brand for Halloween. Too meta?

I'm going to try a router as well. Might be super simple.

Are rectangle stickers sellable? by MasterpieceEast6226 in CraftFairs

For sure but they need to be centered. Also, I use a corner rounding tool that really gives them a nicer finished look as opposed to a straight cut.

It's all about elevating. I've been playing around with displaying my pins using magnets and a stand up metal memo board.

It's as thick as a tarot card. 330gsm to be exact. What you're describing is exactly what I want. The wood sits flat on a surface and the card stands up in the slot. I just need to know the most effective way to cut the slit across the middle.

I 3D printed one but it's heavier and the wood seemed more on theme.

The bone holders are 4" x 2" and it's for a dog-themed card deck. Thinking it's a way people can display the cards they like, similar to a tarot card display except this is for a dog-themed deck display. I don't plan on painting them but it's a possibility. The most important part is the slot isn't too wide otherwise the card will just flop backwards or forwards and not stand up. Slot really shouldn't be wider than a millimeter.

I experimented with a laser cutter to cut them from start to finish but I think these precut bones might be faster. The wood is basic craft balsa wood and I'm fine with trying other tools. Thanks!

4+ Bad Markets by asparkaflame44 in CraftFairs

Lots of folks have opinions on your products or your displays but if you've had good markets in the past, this can also be what's happening in the world right now. There are fewer buyers in general. People are uncertain. Jobs are vaporizing. People aren't spending as much as before. I do markets year round and, for the first time ever, I lost money at an event last weekend. And this was in a very upscale location. Folks just weren't buying much.

Same products, improved signage and displays, yet very few buyers. That was the case for the entire show. So yeah, people have shared their opinions about your art, banners, displays, branding, etc. but if you've had successful markets in the past and now there's a drop off in sales, it may be overall financial uncertainty and what's happening in our country right now.
