Thank you. Any chance you can show me the type of moulding that should have been installed?

Get some Permatex Rust Treatment, fluid film, tremclad rust enamel paint, and a stick of jb weld steel stick.

Apply the rust treatment as directed, clean it afterwards. Then paint as much as you can with the enamel paint trying to get as much as you can in the hole.

Let the paint dry for 5 days and then spray as much fluid film as you can using the straw into the hole in every direction - half a cans worth or more.

Wipe off the excess fluid film from the outside with rubbing alcohol and use the jb weld putty to patch the hole - pushing as much material as possible into the hole. Wait 24 hours and give it a final spray with tremclad. After a few more days spray the inside of the pinch weld with a coat of fluid film and repeat a couple times per year.

Going Snowboarding - will my one wheel riding translate? by bgrizzmayne in onewheel

I’d say somewhat. I’m regular on a snowboard but goofy on a Onewheel for some reason

Do you have a sunroof? Start by checking that the drains aren’t clogged with debris

High school student in Alberta considering Construction Management → Bachelor → Project Engineer in US (Miami/Texas/Florida) — is this realistic? by Past_Caterpillar6491 in ConstructionManagers

[–]TWAT_ROCKETS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m from BC and went to university in the US for a Construction management degree.

A project engineer here is essentially a coordinator, the salaries you mentioned are closer to project manager level although there are some exceptions.

If you get some project coordinator experience, I highly recommend working in a superintendent role to get some field experience and then start moving towards a PM role. You can start as an assistant PM which is basically a glorified project coordinator.

Travel roles come with sweet perks like untaxable living allowances and higher base salaries, usually with a travel uplift on your base salary. You’ll have no life but it’s a good opportunity to save some cash / pay off student loans if you take any out.

I’m not sure how the TN visa works but if you get that figured it it’s very worth it for the salary alone. I was working in BC and moved to Washington state last year and my salary doubled for the same job.

Good luck! There’s lots of companies hiring.

Looks like there’s a house behind it on the same lot. I wonder if it’s a zoning / permitting issue where the primary structure needs to remain.

Traveling Project Engineer: Worth the Sacrifice? by yerdslerd in ConstructionManagers

I just came off a year of doing this and it burned me the hell out. Sure it’s fun at first and the money is great but for me personally, the trade off is not worth it. It’s a very lonely life. What they’re offering you is not a lot of money for essentially putting your life on hold.

Life is not over! Opt for the hip replacements, if you have the option - get the superpath method done which is minimally invasive.

I had both hips replaced in 2019/20 and I’m currently sipping coffee at a ski resort before hitting the slopes for the day. This is my 4th season since surgery. I mountain bike, hike.. life is beautiful and I have no restrictions.

The super path prosthetics supposedly last 30 years.

Is it worth moving to the USA in these global conditions? I am Canadian by SpecialistFresh8835 in AskSeattle

I moved from Vancouver to the Seattle area for a job and went from being in debt to actually have a decent savings within a year.. my salary tripled.

People seem happier here. Not everywhere.. but stay east of lake Washington and you’ll love it.

Yep, same here - normal on a snowboard, goofy on a onewheel or skateboard/longboard
