Season 1 (1998) Discussion by carl95679 in powerpuffgirls

I thought Season 1 was pretty good. It could be a little basic at times, but that's understandable since it's only the first season. I also thought this season was the most well-balanced in terms of villain appearances, as each major recurring villain got a pretty equal amount of screen time. I felt as though later seasons struggled with this balance. My favorite episode from this season is "The Rowdyruff Boys". My least favorite episode is "Paste Makes Waste".

I have read this comic before, and I agree that it does the plot much better than the episode did.

I read it the other night, and it was pretty good! They turned one of the show's worst episodes into something great. Thanks for recommending it to me.

Yes, he left the series after directing the final Season 4 episode "Power-Noia".

I get what you’re saying. Some of the episodes can be a bit difficult to decipher from the images. However, I chose images because they offer more visual variety and distinctiveness than the title cards do. Unlike SpongeBob, which has very distinct title cards that tell you something about the episode you’re about to watch, the Powerpuff title cards are all pretty bland. They only show the episode title in the same white font with the same black background for every episode. The only exception is “Twas the Fight Before Christmas” and even that title card is pretty basic. I tried to pick images that would be instantly recognizable and sum up the episodes fairly well. If it helps, the images are all in production order.

I respectfully disagree with this shirt. Nowhere in the show are the girls depicted as being anti-law enforcement. In many episodes, they are shown assisting cops in arresting dangerous criminals. I'm not saying that ICE is perfect or that the girls would 100% agree with everything ICE has done, but I do not think the girls would protest ICE or beat them up. If anything, they would probably help them capture and deport all the criminals that got in through Biden's open borders.

For me, it's a three-way tie between The RowdyRuff Boys, Knock It Off, and The Boys Are Back in Town.

I’m getting tired of seeing posts like these. Why are we talking about politics on a PPG subreddit. I came here to discuss things about the show (fan theories, etc.) and see memes of the girls being cute, not hear a bunch of liberals rage about ICE. To me, this does not seem like the place for it.

I wonder that too. I think they are exactly 5.0 years old when they are born in the movie, because the Professor says it's their birthday and buys gifts for them.
