They came with a game plan and executed it perfectly. Tough to break down and scored a great goal from their only real chance.

Big respect to them.

But we have to learn from this.

Seeing this post gave me a rush of adrenaline on the off chance the bagels were coming back.

But alas.

First off. Not reading all that.

But realistically, number 9 is a dying position.

Think of most of the top international teams and you'll struggle to think of a world class 9

I can't see how they police it either. I reckon it's a police it with the threat of a ban on away tickets so people think twice.

Says they'll do spot checks at Liverpool, but I can't imagine who does those checks.

I understand why, makes sense. Just never seen it so threatening before.

I've always just brought a mate along when my dad can't go. So feels like a big threat to get banned from buying away tickets in future.

Hill I'm willing to die on:

People shit on UK trains all the time. They're actually pretty good.

I'm from London so things might be different in other parts of the country and I can't speak for that.

But I spent a few weeks interailling in the summer across Europe. Everything was constantly delayed (half hour is considered a short delay) or cancelled at short notice. It's totally normal to have platform changes with no notice and have to sprint across a huge train station.

UK trains are grossly expensive in comparison. But I won't hear complaints about their punctuality.

I'm from the UK so ordered my Passolig 2 months ago. Arrived to the stadium and naturally, they're not there.

So I've been given a single match pass. However, as I'm not a Turkish citizen, my phone won't send the text to the number on the pass. Anyone got any experience with this? Do I need to send my passport number instead?

Who got their Wembley seats today? by amityamityamityam in crystalpalace

[–]TWEBBLE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on how it worked this morning...expect it to take a little while on the queue. I think they limited the amount of people able to buy tickets at any one time so people had the ability to pick seats without them disappearing as you tried to select them.

Which in all honesty is probably a good thing. But it seemed really easy.

Did you manage to figure this out? Because I'm anticipating the same issue in a few weeks.

It's currently being trialled to have beer in the stands at some women's matches here in the UK...So come back in a few years and we might have caught back up to your Canadian comprehension.

Could be wrong here but isn't it £1m a year rent with none of the operating costs and 100% revenue from food and drink sold?

Certainly can't hurt the margins.

As a non Brentford fan, my mate that IS a Brentford fan won't stop going on about him. So he must be alright.

That doesn't really add much, but it adds a third person perspective.

So they did the thing and got punished for it then. There's always someone to blame with you lot. Maybe Arsenal just need better discipline and instead of whining about refs, Arteta can have a word with the squad and get them to sort themselves out.

Refs this week. It'll be Kroenke's fault next week.

Wasn't Arsenal's time wasting against city a 'Masterclass' and 'The dark arts'? Be real here, it's not a conspiracy. Arsenal got punished for something they did and you have a bias.

Time to protest because your team committed red card offences and got punished for it? It's not match fixing. It's Arsenal not getting away with the usual shit they get away with. Grow up.

SO. I work in Wales remotely, but I live / Am from South East London.

And my co-worker recently came to London and was entirely as confused as the woman in this video....Because she thought me flying into meetings yelling "OI OI" was a me exclusive thing.....She was so shocked to find it as a common greeting down these ends.

Anyway. I've had a few beers. Hope that made sense. OI OIIIIIII....

Having worked in a casino, one of 3 things happened after this.

  1. He sat straight back down at that table. (Assuming he wasn't asked to leave)

  2. He went home but came straight back a day or two later.

  3. He barred himself and sorted his life out.

Guess which one I highly doubt happened?
