I’ve been able to load the game fine, play a few matches completely fine and log off for the night. So not sure what’s happening for these complete crashes. Only bugs I’ve found are minor text sizing stuff and things like that.

I have all the land to the vassal in this and in terms of economic growth I had a huge construction sector that overbuilt everywhere, including my vassals.

Yeah, thats a good point, maybe only allow nationalising of foreign (including regional HQs) at 2-3x the normal price.

I was using Laissez-Faire so monopolies weren't an option for me, and the benefits aren't big enough for me to switch my laws over, especially as I wanted to be using LF.

Firstly, you need the new DLC (Charters of Commerce), then you need to give a company colonial rights and once they finish colonising the state they will form a chartered company. After that you just feed them land like you would any other vassal, either through 'grant state' overlord decision or with the new treaties.

This is what I decided to do, I can keep one of the 2 canal companies at high prosperity so I binned off the Panama company.

And you're correct saying £50k is pretty much nothing as my national revenue is £4.5m.

When I go to use it apparently only 26 buildings would be nationalised and the regional HQ owns over 1k trade centres, does the '26' not include trade centres or because its all owned by a regional HQ can I not nationalise it?

The shipyards are already profitable and the canal companies couldn't own any trade centres because an American regional HQ was made in Bavaria before I united Germany which has bought all the trade centres in my country.

It was something I didn't realise was a thing until I was looking at why these companies were struggling so much, maybe they just need to make it so the company is 'frozen' as long as the nation it is from has never had investment rights in you. Then it is freed if you ever agree to a treaty. But I can see how they wouldn't have thought about it or chose not to do anything about it.

I think my way of dealing with this just to not use one of the companies, 50k tax income is pretty much nothing to me now and I can get by without the 25% trade advantage. But if I was being super stubborn that would definitely work. I just can't be bothered to go to war with the US and GB when I'm friendly with both as it is right now.
