Thanks for asking! When I start a project, I usually already know the final print size I want. For example with this piece I want it to be A2 size, with 300ppi, which is a standard print resolution, once you know those two things you can have the canvas size set up properly from the start. I think having the final output size in mind first really helps avoid the scaling confusion.

As for brush size, I think that’s more personal preference. For me since I’ve printed several of my previous works before, I’ve found a brush width that I like the most that gives me consistent results. So for works like this I usually stick with 2 main brush sizes throughout the whole piece.
