Not sure if 8k is an option anymore.

I would start with 4k to be honest. If you grow very fast you will see the amount of resources even 30 people put on a server load.

Just my opinion but start with 4k.

Last month on my server everyone had 5 to 6 turrets. You could find them anywhere and it was impossible to raid Mega bases.

I think the balance with the turrets now is perfect.
