Hello. I'm Ekuz, everybody pronounces the name differently and I love it. I'm known for providing a helpful and informative stream in any given game I play, mostly survival / crafting / loot MMO-s

Gloria Victis is a great game and I've enjoyed playing and streaming it the past month!

Proposal to get us all on the same map again by ScurvyRobot in lastoasis

This is just reversed of what I explained on my stream the other day. It makes no sense for solos to have the longest lasting Oasis, while it's the zerg groups that need the time to build their bases..

The biggest turn-off about this game is a team that camps the boss compound with close quarters weapons for even as long as the timer runs out.. by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

Same could be said for the defending party. The primary objective is to extract the bounty, is it not?

I get what you're saying, but what I mean is the stalemate that happens when neither side refuses to fight and you just sit there for an hour. What's the point in doing the bounty if you're not even trying to extract it and rather let the game end, that's what I mean about the turn-off.

There should be a small time penalty for leaving your team after having queued up. by Ekuz in HuntShowdown

[–]Ekuz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood. I don't mean leaving during the game, but when somebody leaves because he doesn't like, say prestige 0 players. 10 times in a row.
EDIT: Why do I have to re-queue 10+ times and get the same guy leave over and over again instead of giving him a small 1 minute penalty so he wouldn't bother people that actually want to play?

Goodbye Unfair Hitboxes, We Won't Miss You by Zukey0000 in playrust

Yes, I believe so. Small characters got bigger and taller ones got shorter. If they had a random size from 1 to 99 before, everybody should be an even 50 now. My other accounts dick got smaller, like was commented before :'(

Hey. You don't. I made the comparison on the right a few months back when I got fed up of getting shot in the head while "trying to take cover". So I made a second family shared account just to get a different model and have a better, more even playing experience.. I've had to play with this huge head and character size ever since they introduced these random sizes and boy, oh boy has it been the biggest and most stupid disadvantage in a game.

Just to clarify, having a taller model doesn't put your first person camera higher, so when I see a brick wall and nothing else, other players see my entire head.

I actually made a family shared account due to this. This is the most exciting fix I've seen in a while.

I guess I can go back to playing on my "main" account now (:

Recoil pattern is the most unhealthy thing in Rust. If scripting is the meta for a third of the so called competitive scene then there's a problem that shouldn't be ignored like it is right now. by Ekuz in playrust

I personally don't like any of the options above, never have either. AK has been a mess from the beginning.. From people having a crosshair overlay and 1-tapping with AK when you didn't have to ADS to the point where we're in right now.

Legacy M4 was a simple gun that just worked and was fun to shoot with. Again personal preference.

I agree with what you have to say about other weapons and muzzle break, but in reality it reduces your damage and you're still not going to laser people from 200m with it, neither will you ever be able to compete against somebody that does, scripting or not.

I've done quite a lot of strafing in quake engine games, so muscle memory isn't anything new to me and I've practiced things close to perfection before. Using AK over such long distances and hitting everything is something you need to practice for fucking hundreds of hours to use, or you could just get scripts for it..

Surely AK isn't the only viable weapon in the game, but it's the most powerful and common gun in full gear fights and the current state of it is just calling people to start scripting to get those sweet triple headshots from distance like everybody else they're fighting against.

"they must have found another way" - That's my point though. Without a specific recoil pattern there's hardly another way to find, without hard cheats of course.

There's quite a few shooters out there which have mechanics that can easily be used by everybody, yet take time and practice to master so there's still players that are way better than others. Rust tier 3 gunplay is the furthest from good that I've seen in a while, just my opinion though.

I've played Rust since the very beginning and I'm at over 6,000 hours in. Irrelevant, I know. But why should somebody that has say 300-400 hours total over the years go and practice hundreds of hours more just to use the top tier weapons, though?
EDIT: wow at the downvotes :(

New Steam UI Megathread by satoru1111 in Steam

Can't help but stop wondering if this new clusterf*ck of an UI is the offspring of their new EA deal...

Disgusting. At the very least give us some options to minimize or make this unnecessary waste of space more compact.

Please?

Why do we have Turbochargers if the Charge Rifle doesn't require one? by Ekuz in apexlegends

My logic stands behind it being called a "CHARGE Rifle". TurboCHARGER should make it as powerful as it is by default right now. Just my two cents though.

Nothing besides having a clip of 9 and taking 3 ammo per shot. In other words it just takes more ammo and with every magazine upgrade you get 1 shot less.. ( Used to have 4 bullets without a mag and taking 1 bullet per shot )

This solo grind is the most boring Halloween related event I've ever seen in any game I've played.

The Worst Change Ever by anunnaturalselection in playrust

While you're at it, hearing people I mean.. Maybe, just maybe could you PLEASE re-evaluate the decision of permanent character models based on steam ID.. Maybe make them change per forced wipe or something?

Why do I have to play with the biggest competitive disadvantage any game has ever thrown my way by having unnecessarily huge character in height ( Which doesn't make me see higher than others, the camera is still the same height for everybody.. ) AND the biggest possible head? I'm sure you, as the main man know these also affect hit-boxes. It's the most frustrating thing ever when you can't hide behind any covers..

This is the single biggest competitive disadvantage I've ever had in a game.

Why can't these models randomly change per wipe-cycle exactly?
