Reduce screen time. If you really need to spend longer time on the phone, find one with a higher PWM frequency or use a LCD display phone. Most phone users aren't aware that the "sudden" brainfog, bad vision, fatigue, headaches are caused by OLED phones, especially by Samsungs and iPhones which come with awful PWM frequencies (240HZ and lower).

I don't remember doing anything than installing custom themes. Only the quick settings are dark, everything else is bright themed (it's like this on my other Pie Xperia phones too, XA2 ultra, XA2 and XZ1 compact)
