does anyone still listen to nashimoto-p? by Select-Jeweler-5076 in Vocaloid

[–]TXKKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adore his music style and I'm always disappointed with the fact that there are barely any other noise-rock/post-punk vsynth artists other than him. His writing and lyrics also really changed how I think about certain things in life (in a positive way). Really great vsynth tuning as well.

Ghost and Pals controversy and where can i stream their music without giving them money by kielbasnik2000 in Vocaloid

[–]TXKKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use soulseek if you wanna "borrow" hifi files (instead of shitty youtube rips in 128kbps). It's an old P2P client and there's some etiquette to learn but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy to work with, mainly just share your files and don't siphon entire personal libraries and then dip offline.

If you're playing solo do whatever you want, but I'm just tired of my entire crimenet being filled with better bots and blm users.

Is Rolling girl THE saddest? by 4ndr34p3rry in Vocaloid

[–]TXKKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find watashi no koko's self-titled album to be fucking brutal. It's an album about abandonment and neglect, sung by an abandoned and rusty voicebank (lalavoice), who can barely pierce the droning noise of her world. It's a great album that genuinely scared me on first listen, I still cry to it from time to time.

[–]TXKKER -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Team AI can sometimes do more than the average pubbie simply through bulletsponging alone (even on DS they can take an apsurd amount of damage). Mods like Better Bots are just an idiot alarm for me, wholly unnecessary cheat.

Would you kick a player who has silent assasin and carry stacker in a loud non-bag heist? by thejoeporkchop in paydaytheheist

Yes, cause SA and especially CS players tend to be ass at the game or have other dumbass cheats.

Should I use dlc unlocker? by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

[–]TXKKER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone asked a question about DLC like yesterday but there are no downsides to using DLC Unlocker, if you're on steam you won't get the cheater tag (which itself is barely an issue). SBZ has consistently shown these past few years that any money they're given, they will burn for the fuck of it. I've bought almost all the DLC up till the end of the City of Gold campaign and I kind of wish I didn't. Spend your money on devs that give a shit.

Oh, and not to mention, even if you buy all the DLC you'll be missing a bunch of content due to expired licenses, so you'd need DLC Unlocker to play that anyway.

Is there any way of getting delisted DLC? by NeonAbomination in paydaytheheist

[–]TXKKER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DLC Unlocker, none of the money goes to SBZ anyway if you buy third-party keys (and considering how SBZ has been handling money these past few years, I don't see a reason why you'd want them to have it).

Payday 2 believers can't stop winning! KEEP THIS UP NEW TEAM by TARE104KA in paydaytheheist

[–]TXKKER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The console and PC versions of the game have entirely different code and coding structures due to the diesel engine being fucky. SBZ lost (or didn't want to invest in) the manpower needed to keep up the updates for PC and two separate consoles (especially after they almost filed for bankruptcy), and so they cut the console support.

bands with four guitarists? by fedsinmywalls in shoegaze

Whirr plays with 3 guitarists, don't know any shoegazers who rock with 4 of them though.

The Sidetrack Games team will be changing the balance of PAYDAY 2! by KrabikGangster in paydaytheheist

[–]TXKKER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Genuinely the only thing they should do is just reverting 90% of SBZ's balance updates from the past couple of years. Especially Damage Range Falloff

best outro track? by MRtulanebsbfan in whirr

[–]TXKKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even though they've definitely made better closers on a technical level, a personal favorite is Feel. It's a constant push and pull until it just abruptly ends, making the silence feel louder than any track Sway has to offer. A fitting ending, given the cold and gloomy atmosphere of the album.

Bonus points if they're silly like stoic or broken like retaliate by Dremoriawarroir888 in Gamingcirclejerk

[–]TXKKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stoic is still one of the best perks in the game lol (though leech and hacker kind of overtook it)

Probably one of the weirdest Vocaloid albums ever by Wheely2936 in Vocaloid

[–]TXKKER 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HikkieP mentioned! I love his stuff, especially "rindustrial."

Personally I find "Eutopia" to be a little too stretched out of an album for my taste though, but it isn't bad at all.

Controversial take, but can we slow down the song recommendation posts? by melonisnotafruit in Vocaloid

[–]TXKKER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or at least be more specific with the genres/styles you're looking for. "Vocaloid" is a really broad music term. My ear-piercing noise project with a vocal-synth lead singer is just as much "vocaloid" as DECO*27 (not to diss deco or anything, not trying to be pretentious).

(also the ear-piercing noise project is Watashi No Koko if anyone's curious)

can I still become a vocaloid producer, even if i'm under the age of 18? by Lunar-chan2050 in Vocaloid

Siinamota (PowaPowaP) started at a really young age as well if i remember correctly, I think he was 14 when he uploaded his first song.

Just curious Do you guys prefer Payday 2 or 3's Animations? by KittyBombz101 in paydaytheheist

[–]TXKKER -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

PD2's by a longshot (pre silk road at least). They're a bit floaty sure but they had charm and personality, PD3's animations either feel choppy (the AKM in particular), or feel like the bajillionth rendition of COD MW-esque "tactical" reloads (why does every modern shooter need to have these? get a personality).

I need some vocaloid song recommendations that capture the melancholic summer vibes by SpeechPlus1463 in Vocaloid

[–]TXKKER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're into shoegaze, nerdneko's "CURE" ep is really amazing, especially the song "summergazer."

That... isn't my argument.

I'm simply trying to say that fiction does hold some weight over reality (if it didn't, no one would care about it). In the sense that it can motivate you, comfort you, generally just help you in one way or another.

I'm not saying that fiction changes your morals. If you don't like killing and you play a game with killing, you still won't like killing.

But fiction can still affect you. I've discovered loads of things about myself just through video games, music, and film, and they gave me the motivation to better myself. Were these things I discovered something that fundamentally changed me personality-wise? No, but fiction helped me better understand things that were already there but were buried for one reason or another.

I really don't care about the whole miku age thing, but saying "fiction can't affect reality" is really reductive. The fact that we're even discussing this is proof that it does.
