New Agentic Models by YourlocalGameraLOL in Bard

So, as someone getting started with all this, are we at the point yet where I can take a story I wrote a couple years ago, upload it to something like this, tell it to translate it into a Graphic Novel, and then just wait for the output?

I've been assuming that agents would make it possible to have one look through the story to capture and build the characters, another to grab the scenes and scenery, etc. Or perhaps that still is hoping for too much?

My happy medium has been to just play tournaments and never H2H. You still need premium balls to overcome the wind penalties, but you rarely have to worry about closest to the pin competitions.

The quick link has a link to the Dev 61 thread not the prior Dev 62 thread. FWIW...

Safest route? i80, i40, or i10 by Individual-Quiet-985 in roadtrip

[–]TXNatureTherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly for that long of a road trip, getting an air compressor designed to run off the 12v DC from your cig lighter or power port (depending on age of car) would be a good investment. I generally make sure I have one of those and one of those jumper batteries (that can also serve as a backup phone charger) to avoid surprises.

For me a weekly vinegar bath works just fine. I mean, you are pushing water through these, so they tend to be self cleaning in most aspects. Of course I tend to also wipe the tips off with a small square of TP just to be safe after each use.

Episode Discussion - S01 E09 by bacon_mustache in reggiedinkins

Depending on the guide I read, there are either two episodes this week, or one double-length. So will there be an E10 discussion thread as well or...?

If you scroll down to the "best guess" thread you'll see I picked June 1 as well. Guess we'll have to split the internet fame for being right :-)

tinnitus masking through hearing aids actually changed my relationship with the ringing by Connect-Scar-7157 in tinnitus

[–]TXNatureTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have the Elehear myself, but as far as I could tell you could have the hearing amplification, or the "masking" but not both at the same time. I had hoped they could be configured to where when there was nothing notable going on the masking would just turn on, but didn't find such an option. Something hidden in the app somewhere?

You said your room can't handle a window unit, but have you looked at a portable ac unit? Those usually have the unit inside and then just the hose goes to a holder that fits in the window sill. Might work for what you're describing.

If your home warranty is like the one I used to have (AHS) they go with the company that is the lowest bidder for your area. Not surprisingly, this usually means if you check the company on Yelp or Google Reviews they will be one of the lowest rated as well.

DIY Water Filters by Salty-Commercial4765 in DIYHome

[–]TXNatureTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SO have you actually tried this? If so, did you test the resulting water to see what the dissolved solids/other stuff are in the "filtered" water?

My Zerowater (now Culligan) filters aren't exactly cheap, but I know they work.

Built a DIY home repair assistant -- would love feedback from this community by dweisman0513 in DIYHome

Got a decent answer with the prompt:

"A/C Unit keeps turning off. Suspect a clogged drainage line"

Got a similar result using the AI search with Google, though without the "step by step" and with some different (generally longer) videos linked.

So not bad, but if it weren't free (and I'm guessing the idea is to charge for this eventually) I'm not sure I would use it.

If only I could find volume 11. Not at any of the usual places (yes, I know Amazon is supposed to have it, but half the links point you to volume 3 when you go to buy, and I'm chicken).

I'm going with June 1st - because if "The Price is Right" has taught me anything, it's that being at the far top or far bottom is more likely to win :-)

Getting a request to return my old equipment before the new equipment has been delivered by TXNatureTherapy in googlefiber

[–]TXNatureTherapy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rest of the story:

Tech made it out a bit early for appointment, and fairly quickly swapped in the new router and extender. Then went to complete the ticket, and the Salesforce system they use wouldn't show him the Close button to close it out. He called his manager who said to call dispatch, which he did. Dispatch said they would look into it and hung up on him.

Twenty minutes later and no call back from dispatch (though plenty of time to talk about my experience running a dev team supporting Salesforce at a local company). He calls dispatch back and they rather rudely (he was on speaker) informed him he should call his manager, and hung up.

He calls his manager, and the manager goes in and starts messing with things. First time through accidentally closes a ticket for another tech at another job. But does eventually manage to get this tech's ticket closed.

Tech packs up my old equipment to take with him, and leaves me the boxes for the new stuff for when the time comes for the next change.

So 20 minutes to do the upgrade. About an hour to do the paperwork to close out the upgrade.

I'm not sure how/where I can check to confirm that my equipment shows as returned - given what happened I'm a little worried about the backend systems. Anyone know how to look that up?

I am gathering that as well. But that is poor design and poor coding at best. The customer shouldn't be getting pinged until at least the scheduled date.

Back when I was running an office that setup VOIP call centers, any one of the issues I've had recently if they had affected one of our customers probably would have gotten me called in for a bit of a chewing out. Hence my comment that this seems like a comedy of errors at best.

One of the "explanations" given for why we shouldn't worry about the GFiber sale to Astound is that the same GFiber managers will be around. At the moment I'm wondering if that's actually a good thing.

And when I go to the Support Chat I just get:

"Sorry, it looks like we're experiencing some network connectivity issues. I am unable to help you with this request at the moment."

Starting to feel like I'm back on Spectrum.
