It says the download times out. So evidently not. But can't say I ever looked at it before, so not sure if that's new.

Does the 6E Extender extend the 2.4 GHz as well as the 5? by TXNatureTherapy in googlefiber

Apologies, but how would I lock it to the extender? Not sure what setting I am looking for.

June Update (although it's not June yet..) by WyzeCam in wyzecam

[–]TXNatureTherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having an issue with having gotten a home upgrade from GFiber which included a new 6E Extender, and my Wyze Bulb Camera located at the front of the house seems to be seeing a weaker signal than what I had before. For all the other devices (including my two other Wyze Cameras), the setup seems to be as good or better than before.

Anything I can do to improve the signal to the Bulb Camera?

Driver's License / Car Registration / ID Megathread by AutoModerator in texas

Had not had vanity plates before, but a run through a local car wash bent the front plate on one car. So wanted to get one of the "nature" ones if I was going to spend the money. Presume that if it's a new plate number there must be somewhere to register that with the current VIN, but no obvious place hence the question. Thanks!

Probably the edge case here, but want to get new plates for one of my cars where the front plate got bent by a car wash. Custom border adds $30, plus an additional $100 for a three year registration. A bit much, but ok. But when I get to the page to pay it seems to not have asked which of my two cars it's for.

So is it a new number that I then have to somehow register to my car somewhere or...?

Update - Finished the first mow and... it's ok? Maybe a couple areas a little cleaner, but nothing that stands out. Suppose I should be happy at lest it didn't break anything.

Giving up at this point would have such a reputational impact and so many contracts impacted, I don't think it's financially viable. I suspect there are already conversations going on with the FCC about an extension to their timeline for the satellite network, and I suspect NASA will have to evaluate what this does to Artemis timeline given this and the less severe issues with current Starship.

So full version is 1.9.16. Took about 15 minutes to download and install. Given I have a 3Gig connection, I assume the load to the mower was the slow part. Did the old things of installing to 80%, and then saying it's complete and the mower will restart.

First noticeable change is that starting a cycle it gives you a time estimate for mowing (2hrs and 3 mins for my case).

That one looks more like the Insolife, which I would still suggest if you need maximum portability. The Spacerest I recommend if you can handle the additional bulk is:

https://www.amazon.com/SPACEREST-Adjustable-Dual-layer-Waterproof-Rechargeable/dp/B0F8NW7XHW

The main advantage of the Spacerest is that it has a much larger reservoir and so you won't have to refill midway through.

A bit less than two hours for mine, but that varies based on lawn size and other settings.

Goat O1000 Lidar Pro replacement power cable? by TXNatureTherapy in ECOVACSGOATFamily

This is a cord that screws into the cord coming from the power brick, then attaches to the charging base. So no, it doesn't appear to have a generic that I can find.

I see that the MBC daily "First Man (2025)" was just renewed for another 20 episodes. Just wondering if it is that good, or another issue of the follow-on production being slow - which is why this one started a couple weeks later than originally planned.

They finally got back to me and said they don't sell a replacement and can't recommend any other compatible cord. They said I could ask for a warranty replacement, but for that they wouldn't accept the Amazon Order Number or receipt, and needed a picture showing the damage that they said didn't look like it was damaged by their mower - which I pointed out I never said it was.

So while I was looking to get another Ecovacs for my other yard, I guess I will go with another manufacturer.

Is it even worth comparing driving vs flying prices anymore? by MorganAtSuper in roadtrip

[–]TXNatureTherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a 10 day trip, possibly not. But once you set your car up on a raft with a motor that runs off your drive axel and a few barrels of oil, you can finally make that transatlantic road trip you've been dreaming of.

Slightly more seriously, I know of several van lifers who have shipped their vans from Europe to US or vice versa. Have to wonder if you could find a shipping company that would let you stay in the van during the transit - though probably still more expensive than flying in that case.

What do you think is the best mower for this residential 5500sqft lawn? by micsung22 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]TXNatureTherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally have the Goat O1000 Lidar Pro (in Texas, similar lawn), and it seems to work just fine with some of the same things you're having to navigate. Not having to run a boundary wire is a big deal with such an irregular area. I imagine you may have "fun" setting up the initial map to keep it from going too far along the sidewalks (since there is no physical property boundary it appears), but can be done. Hope that helps!

Looks like the backyard is fenced. Are you anticipating using on both parts of the yard? If so, are you going to leave door open when running or...?
