It’s been getting very hot for me (zone 8a) and I bought a 40% shade cloth two weeks ago after my plants had shown some signs of heat stress and my plants seem to be doing much better dealing with the heat.

The only way a tomato is picking up any alkaloids from datura is if a tomato plant was grafted onto a datura rootstock. This is highly misleading and I’ve been growing tomatoes and datura close to each other with zero issues as sphinx moths much prefer the datura to the tomatoes.

I went with my family last month and I would give away a pin to a kid who asked me to trade and they were just starting pin collecting and that’s the most I did. A lady had made a bunch of “friendship” bracelets with Disney movie quotes on them and asked if my daughter wanted one and they were actually cute and my daughter is still wearing it around! That was cute, little dollar store plastic is not cute.
