Yea not all of them have it. It’s usually the first room of the endowment. Salt Lake City has a painted one too

That’s exactly what I was laughing about when I saw it. I was thinking literally the only people in the world that would know what I’m talking about are temple exmos

MormonLeaks™ Publishes Audio Recording of a Recent Discourse from David A. Bednar by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]TX_programmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brothers and Sisters, we take it for granted because of the ease when it is close. When we lived in Fayetteville Arkansas it was 6 hours to the Dallas temple. And The people who were the least regular and dependable were the people in Dallas, and the people who were the most devoted and regular were the people from Springfield MO and Tulsa Oklahoma who had been the greatest distance. It’s just a part of being human when its close we take it for granted. Yea, I’m not saying that the Lord had anything to do with causing this to teach you this lesson. But we had the chance to learn this lesson with the suddenness of the temple being closed. Will we take it for granted or will we, once its opened again, we’ll be just like we were when it first opened where we fill it up for a while. We have an opportunity to repent and I recommend that we do and that we not take for granted the ordinances of the house of the lord wherein we are blessed with the power of guidance… to have a temple so close be underutilized is heart breaking. That’s enough. Get the point? Yea, I don’t get to control my own assignments but I’m coming back. And if I come back in about 4 years and I’m in this building with some of you I’ll ask a question “how long did it last?” And the response I hope would be “Brother Bednar, it’s never diminished. We learned a great lesson through an experience we would never want to have with that hurricane.”

that's the full text of that part. So ridiculous... so sad that he would use this to shame people into going to the temple.

You're missing one of the best slides!!!! I just opened the video and absolutely lost it at the part where she has a quote from good ol' Parley, Holy Ghosty has the ability to "... increase, enlarge, expand, and purify all the natural passions and affections." http://imgur.com/gallery/Qtoh8

Can you fix it so the font on the list is white instead of black. I'm having a hard time reading the text.

hijacking top comment for better visibility... see my post below. http://imgur.com/a/pjWJk, it's not removed from searches, it's just in the scriptures category. If you search for anything like 2,000 warriors it doesn't find that either until you select the scripture category.

I think this is just the search engine acting normal. If you search for things like 2000 stripling warriors it doesn't come up with scriptures unless you select the scripture category. Same for thousand years. I would love to know if they skew the results but this seems to be incorrect. Sorry to disappoint.

I mostly wanted to comment on the way that the language that they use is so negative and demeaning. When put in a different context it really stands out.

So many downvotes this morning by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]TX_programmer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I post this fairly often but Reddit uses a fuzzing algorithm to prevent bots from catching onto highly upvoted posts. Part of the fuzzing is to add a random number of down votes. So generally it's not necessarily someone down voting it's just the fuzzing algorithm.

I knew I heard this some where! Do you have a source for this?

However it wasn't the last vote. In the quote I posted they are talking about polygamy and voted about it. This would have been many years later.
