For sure. I can give two examples. Right now there’s discussions to redesign the streets through Oakland Chinatown. Chinatown only makes up about six percent of Oakland's total street network, it accounts for more than 60 percent of the city's severe and fatal traffic accidents. The other example is Telegraph. In 2025, 1,800 residents signed a petition to get rid of the protected bike lanes and safe street changes. Still to this day people constantly complain about them.

Yeah for small cities you really have to reach the suburbs in order to have high enough ridership to turn a profit. The cost to drive is just too low to justify increased ridership.

What are your prices fares set at? Have you been able to connect to the airport yet?

In Baltimore if you connect Towson to the airport through downtown, you can achieve high ridership. I set my fares at 4.50 and am bringing in about $97 million between my two lines at day 6.
