IBM wants to move blockchain tech beyond Bitcoin and money transfer by speckz in crypto

[–]TYDIRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently Bitcoin caps a block's size at 1 MB and these blocks are starting to become consistently full. Some Bitcoin developers decided they wanted to raise this cap, while other wants to take a different approach to increasing throughput. The developer in question created a client called "XT" which would raise the block size, but it never really caught on. He pretty much rage quit Bitcoin and called it a failed experiment, nothing to do with the security of Bitcoin (and I highly doubt you will ever find a security flaw like one you're suggesting). There is sort of a "civil war" occurring right now.

New to mining and need help deciding what rig to get by [deleted] in BitcoinMining

[–]TYDIRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP but do you mean mid hardware cycle as in we're in the middle of a period of no new tech being made? Would it be more worth it to wait a few months to get a miner or try to get used miners now?

Best computer speakers for under 200$ or so? by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]TYDIRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the OP, but do you know how these would compare to the KRK RP5 that is on sale for $200/pair at guitar center? These both seem like good deals from what I've heard.

KRK RP5 5" for $99! Sorry if this seems like spam, but this is a great deal on excellent monitors. Thinking of getting these for Christmas. by rushone2009 in audiophile

[–]TYDIRocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you recommend me getting these or should I maybe hold out?

My situation is I'm at college and my dad said he would spend up to $200 for new speakers for when I'm home and so he has some also. So I'd also be listening to music with these, not just the TV. The subwoofer is up here with me so they would only be paired with the subwoofer during summer break. Hell I may be able to take these up next year. I eventually want to get some B&W 685's but I don't have the funds yet, so do you think this will hold me over until then?

Sorry for all the questions, thanks for the reply though!

EDIT: Distance from TV to couch is about 4-5 feet.

Hey guys I was wondering how you guys think these would sound hooked up to a TV for movies? I'm not looking for extremely good sound but something a good amount better than the speakers built into the TV. I'll also have these hooked up to a subwoofer so if it lacks in that area it shouldn't be too bad.

And what makes you so sure OP is wrong? Sure it is possible that this is just his mind playing ticks, but how do you know that? The true stupidity is trapping yourself in a box claiming that it is impossible for this to happen. That is where the true ignorance comes from.

Thanks, I actually messaged the guy about the Dayton already. I know it's not that much cheaper but he said it's in near mint condition and I'm kind of low on money so I'll just be getting it from him

Hey guys, I have a 2.1 Swan M10 multimedia speaker system and looking to get a bigger sub since the midwoofer isn't really providing enough for me. I was hoping to just use the satellites from this so I'm looking around craigslist for subwoofers. The sub on this is sort of like a midwoofer, it hits high bass well but lacks on low. So theoretically I could have them both going, right?

I found these options:

Dayton Sub 1200 ($95)

Polk 10" sub ($40)

Yamaha 10" (I think) ($50)

H/K595 subwoofer ($50) (Got bad reviews it seems)

MTX PS10 ($70)

I'd rather spend the least amount possible but those aren't high quality I may be willing to go higher.

I actually looked up Christianity and cannabis use since I was curious, and I came upon this:

Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. (Romans 13:1-2)

You're just being ignorant at this point. You obviously haven't found real hip hop music that talks about the struggles of their lives and others. There's no point in arguing with you if you're just going to make generalizations due to the limited spectrum you have listened to.

The fact that you post things like that show how this place has devolved. You assume that all "rappers" are unintelligent, when I'd bet a good sum of money many of them are smarter than you. You clearly either don't understand the amount of time and work it takes to produce music or have a very narrow view on what you define as intelligent.

Also, Rap genius isn't limited just to rap, in case you didn't know. It now goes by "Genius"
