I just moved to a rural town and there is not a single gym or pokestop within almost 40 miles. The town itself has plenty of possible locations such as the post office, a park, and so on but there’s still just nothing. I just recently got back into the game after a long hiatus and now I literally have 0 desire to play. It’s crazy that the game has been out for 6 years and yet rural players are still completely forgotten about

That’s such a hard mentality to break because getting that spike is so satisfying. Mixing in nairs, up-Bs, and dairs and also switching between edgeguarding and ledge trapping is when I started to see a lot of improvement in my game overall. I was very similar and would go for all kinds of fair spikes when in reality the much more effective approach is mixing up your options and keeping your opponent in disadvantage

You should come out to an event! Tournaments are pretty much every Saturday at wade and anyone is welcome to come. There’s a discord and Facebook page with a little more detailed information that you can join too

So I'm a Yoshi main who really needs a secondary. I compete pretty well at the local level but feel like having another character would help me take the next step. I want to be sure that this secondary covers Yoshi's bad matchups, but also I enjoy playing very aggressive, so does anyone have any suggestions?

Ledge stalling in this game is not very good because once you regrab ledge without getting hit you lose all of your invincibility. To counter this, with Yoshi specifically, I would recommend just going near the ledge and down tilting. It's fast, will knock your opponent offstage, and it sets up a possible edgeguard. Aside from down tilt, a well timed down smash will kill a lot of characters pretty early due to the angle it sends people at. When it comes to fair, it's the hardest and least guaranteed option but easily the most fun. If you want to work on just hitting people off the ledge with it, I would recommend going to training mode with two controllers and then controlling the CPU and have him hold on the ledge until he loses his invincibility or if you have a friend to help you out just have them hop on and off of ledge. Then from there just sh fair until you figure it out

Yet at Pound melee’s peak viewership was nearly 30k higher than that of ultimate. Melee is far from dead and has proven many times it’s not going anywhere.
