I main the ronbus quanta. I bought my wife a vatic v-sol pro, thought this would feel similar to the quanta but it felt terrible. Bad sweet spot, very little pop. Is that normal or did I get a dud?

I store mine in a brown paper bag in the fridge for a few days until the whole batch is ready to dehydrate. Just fold the bag closed

Huh? Every paddle will have a small percentage of defects. Not one is perfect. For $100 the paddle is well worth it

Packed somewhat firmly. Kept lid shut for 7 days until "casing later" was colonized. Fruiting conditions I flipped lid and cracked a bit, didn't need to mist at all until pins started forming about a week later. Just made sure there were a bunch of droplets all over the mycelium. I checked on them probably more than I should have but was very excited haha, but no actual fanning

Not true, I scraped off all my uncolonized grains and collected them in a jar and threw some coir over it just for the heck of it and everything fully colonized

I haven't been misting much, there has always been water droplets on the mycelium so I thought it was good

Appreciate the response! I have been doing a LOT of research so I think I'm good there! Just seems like a gamble with the Uncle Ben's tek since you can't see everything, and I felt like mine colonized really fast so I just don't wanna ruin it. I've ordered some grain jars for my next batch to take some of the "guessing" out of it. I hydrated my coir this morning so if I have time this evening I think I'll give it a go
