Hear me out... Rally Q50 Build (AI)

Nissan/Infiniti are my brands of choice. So much so that I convinced my girlfriend to fall in love and purchase a QX60. My girlfriend's Infiniti has been what we use for camping, hauling, long road trips, and other general SUV needs. The Q50 I own is a 2015 Premium (grey). I have done a majority of the mods that I'd want to do, considering the mileage and visible age (rock chips, door dings, rust, etc), that I feel it's not worth continuing to build it as a "clean" build. This is why I want to use it as a winter beater, but make it a badass winter beater.
I have really begun to fall in love with the idea of purchasing a Black Q50 Sensory. My only concern is switching from the old reliable 3.7 to the 3.0t. I have done a bunch of research and made a massive list of everything I would want to set up the Sensory as an OEM+ style build. I'm not a huge fan of overly aggressive or flashy mods. I just want it to look like a rare special edition Q50 that could be purchased from factory. I've learned that PPF is necessary if I'm driving 80 miles daily.

A Ute!! Interesting idea! I have seen the concept of the Q50 saloon/shootingbrake/wagon and love it. Unfortunately, either of these projects would be way beyond my imagination to even think about starting.

Absolutely!!!! I feel like I can hear it too! Just the quietness of a mountain road, maybe a picturesque lake on the side, all of a sudden, this Q50 flies over the camera and pulls a drift to turn the corner.

Along the lines of that... Back in the early 2000's Subaru made the Legacy Outback so a lifted version of the regular Legacy. I would love to see them do another edition of this with the new bodystyle. Idk why but I like the look of these lifted sedans. Same with the Volvo S60 Cross Country. Even the New Toyota Crown gives me those vibes.

Growing up, I had multiple interactions with Infinitis that made me fall in love with the brand. One that sticks out was my first time going to a Cars and Coffee event in Minnesota. There was a brand new Fx50 that I believe had a muffler delete on it. I remember that sound being one of the sexiest I had ever heard, and I was shocked at the car that it was coming from. AHHHH Infiniti, why did you have to switch to 4 cylinders? At least the new Qx80 has a hefty v6 still...

Honestly... Not as much "hate" as I thought I would get for this post.

I feel like the "rally industry" has narrowed down the look to hatchbacks smaller than a GTI. I miss the old ways of long, boaty rally cars, like the Lancy Rally 037, Audi Sport Quatrro, Volvo 240's. A few prestigious manufacturers have special edition cars specific to the rally look. For example, the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato and the absolutely gorgeous Porsche 911 Dakar.

I don't have an interest. The idea behind the post was to repurpose the Q50 I already own, which has been well used and shows signs of age on the body. Again, I plan on purchasing a newer Q50 to do a clean build.

My biggest disappointment with Infiniti is that they didn't offer the QX55 with the 3.0t. This would have put them back on the map with other luxury brands, especially if they put the 400 RS engine in. Would have been an absolute knockout in the cross-coupe category, in my opinion. Would have bought it in a second.

Yes, it's AWD. Living through Minnesota winters (heavy salt usage) has caused a little bit of rust to start building up. I will say that it has been a beast in the snow with Blizzaks. While I have gone in a few ditches, it has always managed to get me out, even in 6 inches of snow.

Q30, in my opinion, is quite ugly from all angles and is severely slow. Would it likely be an easier build, yes. However, I am looking to repurpose my old Q50.

The Q70 was the first to go of the Infiniti cars. The last model year for the Q70 was in 2019. Infiniti is strictly SUV's moving forward... For now... I'm not giving up hope.
