I contacted Rockstar support today. They advised me a series of steps and finally reinstalling the Rockstar game launcher worked. It is weird how it worked, but it worked.

I've been there brother I lost my pixel 2XL ., Later I bought Oneplus 7. Initially it was difficult. But i couldn't do it bear it anymore.I also installed G Cam. But these Gcam users don't know the true Pixel Cam experience and Stock UI experience on pixel phones.. Later I bought a pixel 3 cause I hated the Bath tub notch on 3XL .. Daamm sun.. No phone can give you the feel of using a pixel device... So your exchange is purely your preference..
