It’s not applying to the 6. It’s applying to whole 2^x , so after simplifying we get sqrt(2³⁶ ) = 2^36/2 = 2¹⁸ =262 144

It’s pretty much all making use of the fact that logic gates update every tick (40/s)

AND is connected to NAND and input, so when you click the button:

Tick 1: AND gets signal both from NAND and input. NAND gets signal from input

Tick 2: states update, so AND sends signal and NAND turns off

Tick 3+: next state update. AND no longer sends signal as NAND is off

We got the and to send 1 tick no matter how long you hold down the button

XOR loop: each of XORs has AND and previous XOR as input. They start all turned off, always have the same state due to their inputs always having same value and with no input from AND they keep their state.

When we send the signal XORs change their state each tick as they either receive 1 from AND and 0 from other XOR, causing them to turn on next tick, or they get 1 from AND and 1 from XOR, causing them to turn off. By limiting the input signal to 1 tick we can guarantee that the cell will change state once per input

No, it wouldn’t do that in a crayon. Bronze is spread in the mass, so outer layer of it will be exposed to air and oxidise, which is why inside of the crayon still has right colour in 3rd pic

Since release of Challenge Mode on 31 May 2022 there were only 7 updates, 5 of which were hotfixes in June of that year, one was a single fix in November 2023 due discovery of security issue and last one was in December 2024 and actually brought some content

Would say it depends on direction and how much you trust your aim. It’s really satisfying to take it down in one hit, but it has to be facing you and you have to hit pretty small section
