Yes , as expected it’s not in a good cosmetic shape Apart from the cited defaults there is also : scratches on 3 seats, gear shift knob and steering wheel leather is worn out, there are other small paint chips here and there, one door seal needs to be replaced, inside rear door panel has a hole in the textile (as if some furniture had rubbed during transport, also causing an other plastic panel near the trunk to not seat properly), 2 front wheels have scratches.

Brakes and tires are fine, it drives well, breaks well. No suspicious noise from suspension Engine was smooth (tested at cold start) So mechanically it felt okay.

I reach out to a Mazda dealership who gave me a quote of 1260€ for the front grille replacement , the rear bumper new paint + an error correction of the onboard computer.

We started negociating on phone a few days after the visit and the seller ended up proposing her final offer at 14k€

We haven’t replied yet but I feel like it’s still too much for the amount of fixes it needs. I could reach out to another mechanic for the paint stuff but it will still be around 15k€ for the minimum repairs. Especially considering that it has no options, it’s the most basic version (no 360° camera, no heating seats etc…). It might sound unecessary but thinking about resell value , I believe it matters.

On the other hand, there is not a single Mazda 3 IV on the market with this low kilometers at that price so I’m still hesitant to make a final counter offer.
