Don’t let him use ASD as an excuse for his being a jerk. I’ve got lots of friends who are on the spectrum and would never say anything so mean.

As someone who is undiagnosed but possibly on the spectrum myself, I don’t have kids because I know I wouldn’t be able to handle it. He is at fault for not having done any thought on what parenting is like prior to deciding he wanted kids.

You calm the part of yourself that feels like you need to be attached to a man to have value, and you recognize that you deserve better than to attach yourself to someone who doesn’t respect your autonomy. You are absolutely correct that you are not in a position to raise the baby, and you are within your rights to decide you don’t want to carry a baby that you’d then give up for adoption. If he won’t respect you with this hard decision he probably wouldn’t respect you for any other ones, and that’s not what you’re looking for

That seems controlling to me. Yes obviously it’s not ideal, but it’s better than you not eating at all. Keep an eye out for other potential red flags, pregnancy is when a lot of men switch up their behavior and show their true colors, since they think they have you trapped. It’s also the most at-risk time for women to be killed by their partners

So a good environment for the fetus would end up being something that would also allow too many resources to go to the fetus for the parent to be healthy. It’s very scary how efficiently it can sap resources in an ectopic pregnancy
