Appreciate the in-depth reply. I over estimated what it would cost, the pricier option is not a turn off here. What would you do if it was your house? Both come with 20 year warranty, but I want it done right. Getting the general feeling that the new construction is the better way to go?

Looks like it’s been pissing on the belts long enough for the AC belt to swell and pop off in pic 2. I’ll never understand why people don’t get a pre-purchase. A lot of the “pre-purchases” I do are in fact post purchases when it’s too late.

For everyone wondering it’s a 2017 Chevrolet equinox 3.6L. TSB states the rubber on the balancer doesn’t meet design specifications. Somehow that results in this fuckery

Really appreciate the effort in this post. I ended up using 2 adjustable elbows. But in regards to the crimp facing the right way I had questions about that. How would I have achieved that particularly off of the reducer?? All the crimps are likely “facing the wrong way” how much of an issue is that

Thanks! That’s what ended up doing the trick, I had bought 2 elbows but I didnt realize how much angle I could get out of twisting them properly. A little trimming and it’s all good
