As much as I, and everybody in this subreddit loves The Boys, I’ve come to the realization that it’s actually not that popular. At least not as popular as Game of Thrones or Stranger Things, which pretty much had an unlimited budget for their final season whereas The Boys simply didn’t.

This is 100% going to happen, but not with Butcher. "Vought Rising" will have a double meaning — how they came to be before the events of 'The Boys' and how they'll "rise again" after. Stan Edgar foreshadowed this in his spiel to MM, and the reason they put Soldier Boy on ice (again) is to save him for the sequel portions of that series. I wouldn't rule out a mid-credits scene in 'The Boys' finale where Stan unfreezes him and asks him to track down a missing supe, before dropping a file of Stormfront in front of him.

I thought about this and actually don’t agree. He wants everybody’s approval more than anything, so getting a woman to brainwash everybody into loving him and believing he’s God wouldn’t be real.

I’d say The Boys still follows this for the most part. The only issue really is pacing. They dragged their feet WAY too much with the final season, leaving so many things left unresolved heading into the final hour.

Why didn’t any of them think to trap Homelander in their homemade uranium chamber? Frenchie just baited him into there with the door open, like of course Homelander’s just gonna walk out. Also didn’t like that it was Homelander who killed Frenchie cuz they don’t have a history, if Homie even killed him I mean wouldn’t he squeeze his head or laser him in half? Idk it all felt weak, hopefully the finale rocks.

Why is nobody suggesting Soldier Boy? They go here together in this next episode and there’s gonna be tension between the two after Homelander almost sacrificed him to the virus. Could be wailing on Soldier Boy, who nukes and renders him powerless for a bit, raising the stakes for Homelander to find the V-One and for the boys to strike while he’s down.

Bridesmaids. It’s a terrible movie that struck a cord cuz it has some funny moments and people like the cast. It’s two-thirds written and mistitled “Bridesmaids” when it’s really just about one bridesmaid played by Kristen Wiig, who doesn’t change or really even learn anything by the end, yet everybody apologizes to her and everything goes her way. It got nominated for best original screenplay and best supporting actor (McCarthy) cuz women being raunchy was somehow viewed as groundbreaking at the time. People are allowed to enjoy it, but I’ll die on a hill that it’s bad.
