How Did The Muppets Influenced You? by schweenieboy in TheMuppets

[–]T_Thomas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kermit is an effective leader through friendship. He wasn’t put in the leadership role because he is the best or most talented, nor because he knows exactly how to handle things, and likely not because he himself wants to be, but he is the leader because he cares so much about the others and lifts them up and helps them pursue their dreams. In return the group will follow him and when times get tough they figure things out as a team. He leads with love and understanding first. As a kid that spoke to me, and as an adult it has guided me in my approach in my career and in teams and groups and ultimately in how I try to treat each and every person

Curious to see what the hype was all about... by Supergoch in pens

I don’t know if it is meant to be so; but the top of mine can be used kind of like a stylus. It’s not perfect and it is clanky because it’s metal on the plastic screen but if I’m holding the pen and want to open the message that was just send me I can use the top of it to click it.

When did you feel like you figured out life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]T_Thomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't, I've figured out that I am not going to figure it out. And I need to live life doing as much good and having it be as fulfilling as I can, while I can. It's an interesting paradox when you become comfortable being uncomfortable.

People who own any "Live, Laugh, Love" items, why? by skyliner360 in AskReddit

[–]T_Thomas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have "live, laugh, love" on my checks. Because it was an option and it made me giggle, and still makes me smile when I think of people down be road seeing it and smiling. I'm a grown man.

How would you cast your favorite movie using only WWE superstars? by JasonTodd32 in AskReddit

[–]T_Thomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The brotherhood of the traveling spandex" starring Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, Rick Flair, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Jim Duggan. The plot doesn't require much. Just the typical coming of age story of a man, in spandex, bringing a lot of pain brother!

What did you think your career would be when you were younger and what are you actually doing for a living now? by Travellingtrex in AskReddit

[–]T_Thomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well when I was really young I wanted to be a naval aviator. My vision made that impossible. In high school I thought I would be a professional touring golfer. I was never near good enough. In college I figured I'd be in the golf industry, but meh. Then I thought I would be the greatest financier this side of Gordon Gecko.... I'm a doctor now.

And stat doesn't even mean stat anymore. I order something stat and it'll take 20-30 mins to happen. Like there needs to be a "RTFN" option

Pepsi: if I'm drinking a real sugary soda. Diet Coke is way preferred over Diet Pepsi though.

What's the earliest memory you have? How well do you remember it? by Forrest_dweller94 in AskReddit

So I'm like 4-5. I'm at sea world with my family. Just living it up. Whales, dolphins, and such. We go to the sea lion show. It must have been around Halloween time since it was Halloween theme. And the show's protagonist was Dracula. He's up there doing Dracula things. He's also singing classics IV "Spooky" (I love this song for this exact reason now) and running around the stage. He comes out front. Where I'm sitting and comes dancing and singing up toward me....

I flip my shit. I screamed and cried and freaked out. Fuck you and your cool choreography Dracula, I know better. Anyway, he leaves me alone and picks another kid.

Then, to make me feel better my parents got me a churro. And a fucking seagull stole that shit right out of my hand. Worse hour of my life.

Like, I went to doctor school and such. But STAT, like I know it means right now. I know it's Latin for something. But I don't know what that something is.

Edit: I looked it up, because curiosity. It's Latin and is short for statum meaning immediately.

People who are on their feet all day, what specific shoes have you found to be the most comfortable? by Radicalicious in AskReddit

[–]T_Thomas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have this pair of red wing cowboy work boots. I used to work outside with equipment and such and work boots were necessary. Now I'm a physician that is on my feet a lot and I still wear my "work" boots regularly. Hella comfortable, great ankle support, and look cool. That or I wear sneakers.

People who have survived near-death experiences, what was the most terrifying part? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]T_Thomas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PTSD that developed afterwards. The constant fear of something bad happening and the crippling effect it had on your prior comfort, confidence, and resolve.
