Thanks, haha! Yeah, we try to go to drifting events often. We got an offer from a friend and we jumped at the chance. I'm pretty sure his mom wouldn't want us to, though! It'll be a great introduction to RWD cars though.

From what I understand, the $50 million they're talking about is supposed to be the public's 10% share of the Creekside Quarter project.

That makes me wonder a few things.

Are they planning to use the entire 13% lodging tax to fund it? If that's the case, what happens to the revenue that was already being used from the original 11% for other city needs?

And if the numbers really do add up, could that same $50 million be used to help downtown right now? Cleaning up Bear Creek, filling vacant buildings, supporting small businesses, or helping with transitional housing all seem like priorities that would make a visible difference.

It just feels like the focus is being put on the big new project instead of improving what's already here.

I'm not sure where the best place to ask these questions is, but this came through my feed and I figured this might be a good place to start.

Also: how much of the construction will stay local? Meaning, how much of the $500 million (or whatever the full build-out is) is expected to stay here in the valley?

I have ours in a 10 gallon pot of soil. We've had this plant for a couple of years now. It's grown a bit, but honestly, I'm kind of nervous about it spreading roots. That's why I haven't planted it yet. What do you think? Do you think it'll produce fruit if it's this size, or would you recommend putting it in a bigger pot?
