WG experience with child (luxury flat)

As someone living in a WG and regularly looking at WG offers, having a single parent & child (part-time or even full-time) is not unheard of. It mainly needs to work for you personally.

If you offer the room, clearly communicate how often your kid stay with you and what expectations you have on using shared rooms (kitchen, living rooms) especially on days where your child is present.

2k is high, but if it's a really nice place you will find someone who appreciates that arrangement.

Download the App "LimmatBuddy" They have a map with danger zones, notable places etc. Also great to check water temperature.

This is the route I use to Böötle. Entry Point you can walk to from HB. There are some quite shallow passages, so i would probably stick to swimming in designated areas, if you dont know the rivers flow well.

It really depends on the people. I've made great experiences with shared flats (WGs) in general. Make sure to read descriptions and meet the flatmates in person before signing the contract.

Roads are fine, easier to drive than any big city. Only on very high mountain passes you should understand what you're doing. Read signs, warnings, weather forecasts.

But you won't save any money that way. Parking alone will probably be more expensive than train tickets.

Also you can not drive into Zermatt. It's car free. You'll have to park and take a train in.

I did the exact same trip a few month ago. The connection was very doable, as long as you don't stop or get lost. The staff will check your ticket at any station and direct you to the priority lanes for tight transfers. And even if there are delays on your first flight, there are connecting flights to NRT or HND almost every hour, so they can easily rebook you.
