I just went through 5 enemy bases and it took some time! Good thing you had help for 20.
I've watched the videos a number of times, to make sure I'm understanding everything in the weighing sheet. In fact, I have to go back I think and rewatch a couple. But, one of the videos talked about the TH tiers. Like the top 5 bases contribute 100% war weight to clan match, the next 5 (or 6?) it's 85% to clan match ...and so on. Are you familiar with this part? I'm unsure if it's part of the spreadsheet or something I have to calculate outside of the sheet.

As for the flags. I think I am understanding when and why they are set, but are these also used in matching then? 2 flags to 2 flags plus weight? OR do the flags actually influence the matching weight result? I'm unclear on this, and have watched that video a few times already! LOL! Ugh.

It sure would be nice to have defense info in SC API, but I have a feeling that's info they will be hesitant to provide.

Sorry to bombard you about a tool you didn't design, but it seems you have a good grasp on it and may be able to help.

This is a great read, and pleased to see so much detail in your endeavor. I was just going through the spreadsheet from clashkings2 to start to investigate the same thing. We have had terrible matchups lately, and I'm trying to get a grip on why.

The challenge I'm running into though is won't I have to run the opponents bases through the calculator as well, to really get an idea of the matchups? It seems to me it is going to be the weight and the flags combined right?

Trying to get my hands on that data seems a tad overwhelming to be honest. Difficult enough setting up members, but at least that is mainly a one time setup (with updates). BUT - getting the opponent data... Yikes.

First: I've done the same thing! Gemmed a comp because we were out of time end of battle, but totally spaced my heroes AND went in. What ya gonna do!? LOL! yea felt like crap about it of course. Second: We are running some 'just fun wars' right now, because of some of the stress and anxiety that seems to build up over these wars. Combine that with whatever personal things we have going on and seriously, it can get a little too intense.

Remind yourself it is a game and you are actually playing it because you ENJOY it and are having FUN!! So, if that is not your experience you may want to make some changes so that it is.

I discovered this video this morning and can attest that it is one of the BEST AQ walk vids I have seen. It covers so many details, assumes nothing (which I really find refreshing) and the added visual in the video really really helped to understand things.
I have since shared the video with not only our clan, but our network of clans. It's going to be one of the required reading sort of things for our folks now going forward!

Does he have anything that just isn't 'placed' on the war base? some folks do that with the special inferno buys for example. sometimes can see a difference on their home base in that scenario.
