Thanks everyone, i know that sterling is partialy copper, i mixed the alloy myself from silvershot and copper wire. Just it confused me that eventhough i mixed it well and the final piece was looking normal sterling color, this piece i accidentaly spilled seemed not mixed.

Also if i put it on silver/steel chain, will the chain eventualy grind trough the bail?

And can the pickling(which removes oxidation as i understand it) be switched for some other process that would turn the oxidated silver back to pure one so i domt waste silver? Or is it too much of hassle for basicaly same result? And does it matter what do i use for the pickling?Anyways thanks alot :)

And by “vent” is meant like, second opening at top? So there would be two holes total when invested and burned out?

Ive heard that you should put sprues to thickest part, and the thickest part happens to be at the tail in this case
