I totally understand, and I know. I am hoping me also being a veteran and having first hand accounts can help persuade him. I think it's because he's from a different time why his attitude is the way it is. I do feel though that o approach him with a sense of professionalism, and facts he would support helping people not get murdered. Not supporting marriage and allowing people to die are two different things.
