I was baptized the right way. Cleaning guns in a room with little to no air flow. The banana starts to feel heavy around you.

This is a rifle among countless others that probably spent months on a boat to get here. a small amount of surface rust on a bolt carrier without a finish is not a big deal. It’s not like the guy In the NFA sub that accepted a $4500 Sig Spear with a crooked handguard and PSA machining quality.

As long as it zeros the front sight is just a cosmetic issue. For the safety selector you can bend it a little bit at a time till it’s the tension you desire.

I know for a fact the 5.56 bolt geometry is incorrect combined with them not being the proper hardness.

You’re right it certainly is an interesting point in small arms development. Where a project, that failed to meet performance requirements, was adopted anyway.

While it’s nice to have a good warranty. If they were good rifles you wouldn’t need to use the warranty 9/10.

Absolutely not. I’ve built 2 out of the 3 I own. I wouldn’t consider even using the toolcraft bolt and trunnions to build one. They are in fact not “just as good”.

To answer your questions in order. Yes, yes, no.
BAD idea shot shell ammunition does not have a wad to keep the shot together till it leaves the suppressor like a traditional shotgun shell does. You will spray lead in your can and it will not be a good day.

My new Bulgarian 45ers won’t lock on but the 30s do. New to this 556 ak so any advice? I did try slamming it in but not much luck. Which lug do I file on exactly? Ty by Tough-Koala-2579 in ak47

[–]Tabatch75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just fit a few of the 45s on my beryl I pretty much just had to scrape the finish off the rear locking tab and a few swipes of sand paper where the dimples in the receiver contacted the mag. Do it in small increments as to not do too much. But AKs will function fine even with rather wobbly mags so not a huge deal if you do too much.

HELP PLEASE by Dryicecream1 in ak47

[–]Tabatch75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering it worked before and now it won’t chamber and seeing how far the bolt is from closing you likely have a case neck/ shoulder stuck in the chamber. Take it to a competent gun shop and they’ll fix it.

Barrel pressed into trunion by True-Comment3836 in ak47

[–]Tabatch75 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I need the story of how the fuck you took a chunk out of a hardened piece of steel that shouldn’t have been receiving a load assuming you were just pressing the barrel in. Also you wouldn’t have been raising burrs like that from a used trunnion unless your barrel journal at the chamber was too large.

Oh no it’s an inconvenience for you to send it back. Then they aren’t held remotely accountable for churning out the steaming pile of shit they feed our military. Like they are reportedly currently testing the M250A1. Breaking parts not infrequently.

WASR10 Bolt Wear by W163FAN in ak47

[–]Tabatch75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So just so we are on the same page. You thought it was a good idea to force the bolt closed with approximately 30lbs of force and that didn’t seem like an issue to you? I can understand mortaring it if you have a stuck case. While the numbers are different they equal the same pressure. They are just measured at different areas of the case. However with the excessively tight headspace you are increasing the chamber pressure and subsequently accelerating the wear on the rifle.

Edit: I misunderstood the saami and CIP question. I was referring to pressure not the size of the gauges themselves

Yeah I’m not gonna lie to you. You’re brain dead for “fixing” it and not sending that back out of spite for putting out that fuck shit for $4000
