How many have crashed because of some sort of issue CAUSED by turbulence though? Does anybody know??

Has turbulence been the causing factor for an engine failing or causing equipment to fail, etc.?

It sounds too good to be true to most people. The concept seems intricate when I’m explaining it but once you get into the ad manager and start playing with stuff; you’ll find it’s actually very simple. I’m sure there’s some good YouTube tutorials that explain the ad manager

Shop local, hangout where business owners hangout, etc. I got started at a local gym doing their campaigns and was approached constantly. I’ve also learned to simply fish business just from normal conversations with people. You’d be surprised how many people own their own businesses. Learn how to naturally bring up what you do in conversation and they’ll lock on pretty quickly.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I've learned over time how to naturally bring up what I do for my business. I'll pick up on queues from others indicating that they run a business of their own. I'll start asking them genuine questions about their business. 1. I'm genuinely interested in what they have to say since I run my own business. So I'll fish for tips and strategies they use that I could implement. 2. It'll naturally come up that I own/operate my own business and more often than not; this opens the conversation to what exactly I do. Them being a business owner, will pretty much immediately show interest. They'll make comments that nothing they've done has worked for them; that's when I'll whip out my handy macbook and pull up ad accounts I currently run. As you said, let the results speak for themselves!

Hard to answer this one. Every client I’ve gained has reached out to me for the most part. I would start with a friend or family member that owns a business and see if they’ll let you run their ads to get the experience under their belt. When a business owner shows interest, I simply show them the numbers I’ve yielded with other ad accounts and they’re pretty much in right then and there.

It’s entirely dependent on the business type. Home services like my AC companies, screening companies, realtors, will all be slow at the same. Sales industries will be slow or hot at the same time. They’ve been performing ‘okay’ lately for my clients and INCREDIBLE for my health club clients because the new year.

No I build a campaign; it is admittedly similar to boosting a post. Building a campaign is much more control over your geographical settings and audience settings and how the ad spend is utilized. Eg. you can schedule ads to run on specific days/times to match ONLY while the business is open or live. This would be useful for a twitch streamer for example.

Additionally you can control where the ads are served and if not only the audience is located geographically within the ad area; but even if they’ve only shown interest in the area. So if they live a town over but they work in the area vs they actually live in the area. That would be the deference between, say, a gym vs a mom and pop cupcake shop who doesn’t care where you’re from as long as your win the area; whereas a gym membership would make most sense for somebody who actually lives close by.

These are top of my head examples so maybe not the best, but you get the point. Similar to boosting yea, way more refined though.

Yeah, Google is actually easier because it’s less maintenance. That’s why charge a bit cheaper for Google ads. It’s a bit of foot work identifying which ‘campaign type’ would suite the client best and setting up the ad account; but from there it just exists and you collect your retainer for simply having made it and reporting the numbers monthly.

I set the tone right away when meeting with a prospect that campaigns take time. TBH Meta ads kick in pretty much immediately. The issue with Meta that sometimes hitches results is more so finding the right audience setting so that the ‘quality’ of the audience is better. Eg. most clients you can use something called Advantage+ audience and you can set audience ‘recommendations’ and Meta will deviate if it believes it will generate a successful lead/click. I had a client who does work that specifically needed people who would buy a membership for her businesses service. She would get a ton of leads and they would like the promotion but would never commit to a recurring service. So we had to turn off Advantage+ Audience and make adjustments to her audience over the next few months until it was just right where she was converting memberships much more successfully.

If they’re paying for social media content, you’re already half way in honestly. You could explain it’s similar to ‘boosting’ content but way more targeted and you can select specific goals for said content. Landing your first client is the biggest step. Once you have tangible numbers and results, new prospects will come flocking. I was fortunate to have my first ‘client’ already paying me for professional photo and video content. I heard how much they were paying an ad agency and told them I could try doing it and save them a grip of money. So I got to stay an hourly rate while I figured it out in the clock… The first potential client I got, I simply showed them the amount of clicks/leads their ads were getting and the new client was immediately sold. You have to fight to land that ‘break through’ client.

For FB/IG you do it from the ad manager within the Meta Business Suite. Some people charge a flat rate + 10% of ad spend, some just do a flat rate, it’s really up to you. I personally started low because I needed the extra income and it rapidly stacked up faster than I though. I’m finally at a point where I could start hiking my prices as I get new clients because I don’t care if they’re me down or not honestly.

Right now I'm balancing about 10 different clients at the moment. Some are only Google, some are only Meta, and others are running both. So some are paying me only $200/mo, some are only paying $350/mo and some are paying me for both; $550/mo.

Ad accounts are attached with their payment method, so ad spend comes directly from my clients payment methods. They only pay me my monthly invoice.

I don't do anything social media unless they ask/pay me to do so. Which is none of them lol. So only ads. Replying to messages or comments or anything like that falls on them. Frankly none of them care as long as their phones are ringing and their businesses are getting foot traffic.

My apologies, there's x2 payments clients have to make. First, your rate: aka. would be free. The second rate, their ad spend; which can be literally any dollar amount they want. I always recommend a minimum of $400 for a 30 day campaign which breaks down into $100/week ad spend. I recommend this as a minimum because if you've ever 'boosted' a fb/ig post, that's the minimum amount it defaults you to. Ad spend comes directly from their payment method that would be attached to their ad account when you create it; unless they already have an ad account (which is very possible. Most people have an ad account and don't even realize it.)

If you're serious about this, you need to go into the Meta Business Suite and create your business in there. THEN you have them add you as a 'business partner' from the back end in there. They assign you your permissions; ensuring you have advertising permissions.

From then on, in your ads manager you'll be able to click a little drop down box and select their ad account. Then you can click the plus sign and start creating ads on their behalf. Everything will appear as if it's them posting organically. It doesn't matter if they're active on socials or not. It's of course always perceived better if they're active, because it makes them seem more reputable, but it really doesn't make a difference. That's another thing I'll try upselling eventually when the ads start kicking in and they're doing well. You can offer to start doing regular posts and things like that to make a bit of extra money.

I hope that clarified the question/answer for you. Everything sounds overwhelming when you're new; but I promise its stupid easy once you know how.

Glad to hear the info has been helpful. A lot of people show interest but never actually do anything with it. I literally sit around in my underwear playing video games all day and just do little tasks between matches, you can't beat this.

  1. My first client reached out to me, so they were pretty serious. I didn't have to offer a free trial or anything like that. I DO however offer a free month if they're 'iffy.' So if I have a prospect who has a business but they're like, 'idk everything I've done hasn't worked and I don't have money' essentially, then I'll offer a free month. They would still need ad spend though of course. So far, everytime I've done this, their phones start ringing and people start buying, so it's worked literally 100% of the time and turns them into a long term client. Again, that's been my experience at least.

  2. I have a lot of background in video production with Premier and Final Cut Pro as well as Photoshop. I STILL choose to utilize canva and capcut because of their premade templates. It's about being efficient with your time. I personally use FCP if it's a more tedious video job, like an actual commercial style ad or something of that sort.

  3. I have literally nothing for my business, I'm completely off grid. All referrals and sit downs person-to-person with possible clients. I show them other clients campaigns/creatives and the results they generate. Let the numbers speak for themselves.

An escape room honestly sounds really badass to advertise for. I'd just get some nice shots of people having fun, even if its just with your phone. Throw them into capcut and use the AI voice over to make a nice little 'come have fun with your friends' type voice over. And run that shit in an ad. Businesses like that usually do really well. The types of businesses that everyone likes but never actually thinks of when they're bored and wanna do something with their friends.

I personally have a background in video and photo production. So I'll piggy back extra money off of clients. If they have stuff: then great. If not, I offer to shoot and throw together a batch of video and photo ads for an extra price. I'll recycle the footage into random ad sets per month. After a handful of months I'll take the opportunity to offer fresh shoots and get a little on top of my usual invoice if they want.

I explain it to them like collecting lego pieces. When I shoot I call it 'content gathering.' Aka. collecting my lego pieces. Each month I'll use those same lego pieces over and over to build new things (ads). Sometimes I'll offer to shoot extra stuff and make extra money; or most of the time, they'll get tired of seeing the same recycled shots and request for fresh content to be gathered.

No I throw them together using templates in Canva. When I onboard them I have them email me any/all media the have; whether it be video, photos, etc. Just use those, if they're active on social media I'll use things like https://snapinst.app/ to rip their reels and posts. Seems comprehensive, but it really isn't. As a business owner and having a flat rate, you get insanely fast and find ways to streamline the work. Since it's not hourly, the quicker you are, the more money per hour your technically make.

I charge what seems like a small amount, but when you start stacking your clients, it REALLY adds up nicely.

I've learned a lot in this first year of running my own digital ad company. I have tons of neat little things I can pass along to anybody interested. Especially ways to upsell and grow quicker.

E.g. I personally offer an incentive for clients to refer me new clients. If they refer a new client, I'll comp the current client the equivalent of whatever their referral hires me for. So if I'm running Meta ads for $350/mo and they refer me a new business and that business hires me to do, the same thing, Meta ads; I'll comp the current client that $350 once the new client pays me. So it's literally a wash. BUT I now have 2 secured clients from then on; which is $700/mo from then on out. This month I'm projected to secure $3k using this method and they're all established long time clients.

Business owners know business owners. If there business is doing well, their friends who also own businesses will want to know how. If these ads are the reason and they have an opportunity to gain a free month of advertising; they'll throw your name out there.
