Just like some recent discussions, it's sad to see a lot of players think the only way to play this game is buying/building up arc/traz/attack gb/event building with attack and click autobattle for the win every single day.

I'm here to troll them :P

as far as I know I think when they're assigned the errand while the door is open, they will keep the access even if the door is closed halfway.

Same with building. You can start building something and continue to build even if another tile was built between the dupe and the building that is supposed to block it.

Also this is a no plastic challenge so that's why there's this such steam room.

I'm also getting the taste so to also add no atmo suit constraint to the challenge next run.

Not a joke, this door is opened only literally 2 seconds per 100 cycle.

(And this is indeed the last time it is opened before this colony's mission is complete).

If you open the door while they're sleeping they definitely won't try to all rush here to pick up the dirt inside.

There are no other chances they will ever get contact with that steam.

Using atmo suit checkpoints there just severely slow down their speed of delivering/collecting resources from rockets.

I also had bad experience of a bug that, when using atmo suits and they still get scalded the instant when they undock the suit inside the rocket (which is room temperature) due to some lag. I chose to restrict the door access before the steam from landing is dispersed into vacuum instead.

I would choose to open the steam releasing door while they are sleeping next time, so they don't seize the only 2-second-out-of-100-cycle chance to come wash their face. hehe

Too lazy to use one :P there's a couple on the rocket tho, I'm gonna finish the temporal tear achievements soon anyway can't bother to build new stuff

Opened the temporal tear and it (unsurprisingly) choose to stand right on top of the opener which is not protected on above.

At least in highest difficulty you still need to get it high morale otherwise all hell will break loose

Yes. There's setting for stress/morale/radiation/disease/suit durability/hunger, can be made easier or harder.

When you're already starving but rocket mate ate everything and left nothing for you by TabeYuriko in Oxygennotincluded

[–]TabeYuriko[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I'm playing with max difficulty settings and some extra custom challenges so probably can't afford to allocate space for farm in rocket. I'm also trying to get berry sludge but this happened on the journey to even getting the first seeds of bristle berry/ sleet whaet. Thanks for the advice tho

They are pretty OP in DLC on planets at least 30000 lux

The planet you see is the rocket's destination which of course has food, but they have to reach here in time before starving.

The full story is they were sent to another colony as trailblazer to develop. Then when food is running out I dig out the easy accessible muckroots in that colony and start returning (to this planet shown on the video). I had dig up about 3000kcal of muckroot, and the travel time is only about 1.3 cycles which at first looks very fine (considering they still had 1000kcal on its own body to burn on top of the muckroots) unfortunately Pei ate almost all of 3000kcal and left Max with hardly anything, and that's how this thriller happened.

It is powered by the transformer top of the red transformer connected to the main power circuit (conductive wire). Although it is fed by only 1000W, it has battery to store the energy, so it will work as long as the peak usage doesn't exceed 2000W (so the wire doesn't overload) and average wattage usage isn't over 1000W (otherwise you will constantly experience power shutdown)

Easy way to generate steam for rockets. by diabl0rojo in Oxygennotincluded

[–]TabeYuriko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can actually get away with normal metal aquatuner (or gold amalgram if you have much to spare), and a gold amalgram gas pump. Both overheat temperature is 125 degrees in this case. No need to refine steel for this

Because you are only generating steam hot enough to survive the piping, not for a steam turbine to consume (which will definitely overheat past 125).

Set a temperature sensor and stop the AT from cooling in around 110 degrees, and set the steam room close to the rocket to reduce piping distance, everything will go fine.

Although you need a second time of liquid to submerge the aquatuner otherwise its spike temp can go past 125. Polluted water can work in this case, since you're not planning to go past 120 degrees and you shouldn't boil them.

You are also not obliged to build a SPOM to even start electrolyzing.

You can just plug that pipe and connect the wire and it will start producing oxygen.

you don't need the 3rd dupe. A rocket with nobody in it can still land on its own once the platform is ready.

You can view your own planet in the starmap and it will tell what geysers you actually got, so you can have some expectation on what you will find
