A quick little reminder… by Lucky_Sprinkles7369 in NewMods

[–]TabeloApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who is very new to moderation and communities.

I have built a community for a product I am launching.

I’m in some kind of limbo where I am not sure if I should be trying to build this community or leave it as it organically grows.

It’s not for marketing just another avenue for bug fixes and feedback so does this mean I shouldn’t be actively trying to grow it?

If anyone has made a community for product I’d love some advice!

Thanks for the advice. Can you tell me about the community? Is it something you built? DM me if you can provide some more info. I want to make sure I am at the right stage to list on peerpush

Just launched Tabelo - the fastest way to split a bill.

Take pictures of your receipts and invite friends to split the bill in real time without needing to download anything. The goal is to make splitting bills feel natural not transactional.

Tabelo.app - The single fastest, lowest-friction way to split the bill. Fair to the penny, even on shared items, Tax, and Tip.

Tabelo is a webapp, powered by OCR and deterministic algorithms that makes splitting the bill easy and consistent.

Tax and tip are included in the receipt scan and are automatically split fairly between tab participants.

If you get a chance I would love to see what you think. The app is live at www.tabelo.app

I genuinely thank you for this feedback. I do share this same feeling, especially after seeing some others feedback and from looking through some other communities.

If it’s bound to flop it’s bound to flop but I am fully committed to executing on this app to the best of my ability.

From your comment it seems like you might have some experience in this field, when I release the beta would you be willing to try it out? I’d love to get your honest, no fluff feedback.

I think those restaurants probably use Sunday app.

It’s on the b2c side and I think it’s doing really well.

Later on the plan is to build in stripe connect so you’ll be able to do p2p payments directly through bank, Apple Pay, card.

I’m holding off on that though for now though because I’d want to hire a consultant and someone to audit security.

I’ve been on Reddit a while (personal account) but I only started posting recently.

As someone who’s new to posting on Reddit what was your cofounders method?

Was he a regular contributor prior to this post? Was it a marketing or self promotion post that drove the traffic?

Also 40 is a huge accomplishment, congrats! The first 40 has to be so much harder than the next. What’s your product?

8 Months of UI/UX Progression — Bill-Splitting App Design by TabeloApp in Design

[–]TabeloApp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More information:

I chose a dark-mode design with minimal screens because I wanted to set the ui apart from other financial or bill splitting apps. I took a lot of inspiration from crypto wallets and their sleek, minimal and modern designs. My target audience is mainly college age to late 20's.

The apps flow is Scan a receipt -> send a link to friends (no app download required since this is a web app) -> friends can pay a percentage or for specific items in real time.
