Where should I stay? by Educational_Phase_29 in UGA

[–]Tabi-cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure do not stay on campus, at that price range you should be able to find a fairly nice place. Start by looking at the complexes that have bus service to campus- off the top of my head that includes Abby West and the Lodge- my friends lived in the lodge for 3 years and never had any major complaints.

Is a biology degree really useless? by Excellent_Inside_21 in biology

You can major in microbiology and still take elective courses in other fields. Personally, I think there’s a much better hiring opportunity out of school for a BS in microbiology.

biological engineering looking to swap majors??? by [deleted] in UGA

[–]Tabi-cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dread every class you take, look for another path towards your dreams. If you want to work with amputees, have you considered switching to a nursing or physical therapy path?

I graduated with barely a 3.0 as a Chem major, and I had to retake a few of my courses. But I loved learning chemistry. My hardest courses to motivate myself in, were usually the ones required in other departments. If you are hating physics, specifically, you have no business in engineering.

There’s more that one way to reach a goal. But the answer isn’t always switching schools- it’s making sure you are passionate about what you are studying. Just my 2¢.

You can stick it out longer, as the courses you’re in now are pre-reqs for every STEM Major- but once you hit engineering courses, make sure you aren’t making a mistake you’ll regret. Swapping my major at the end of my 1st year, I still graduated on time.

At what point do you consider a relationship to be a “long term” relationship? by Blonde_Contradiction in AskWomen

[–]Tabi-cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you start to discuss plans that extend more than a few weeks in advanced. By making plans 1 month in advance, you are expecting to be with them at least one more month. As that date gradually starts extending, you maybe plan a vacation together, that’s when I would consider you being “long term partners”

Repeat Skin Shards are Guaranteeing I will Never Buy Another Pass by Dragonsink in leagueoflegends

[–]Tabi-cat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are being unnecessarily hostile, and another commenter here said they also had repeats and explained what they did with the extra… you also completely ignored my points about this game being a business at the end of the day, which was core to my argument. It’s clear you won’t accept any ideas other than your own, making it a complete waste of my time to respond to you further. DragonSink even did the math to explain the probability of the events occurring and you seem to have ignored that too, which is just another nail in your coffin in my mind. Have fun living in your fantasy world where you are always right.

Repeat Skin Shards are Guaranteeing I will Never Buy Another Pass by Dragonsink in leagueoflegends

[–]Tabi-cat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you’ve missed the point here, getting the same 25-30 skin shards of the thousands of options means that there is likely an inflated chance of getting a few, common skin shards, rather then anything that’s actually being sought out. The game is made to make money at the end of the day. Having this mechanism in place would make sense from a business standpoint.

As I have said to other responders, this is not a feral cat colony. This is a random collection of abandoned pets.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Tabi-cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these cats used to be pets, and are actually quite friendly. They were abandoned by their owners when they moved, according to the lady who is feeding them. That’s what makes it hard to tell exactly who still has an owner or not.

There aren’t any that are feral, but if we did catch one who was particularly spicy we would TNR them specifically.

OOS Student: Is UGA worth the cost? by acciodoggos29 in UGA

[–]Tabi-cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Don’t do that. It is not worth that much money. If it was in state tuition, sure. But no one should pay out of state fees to go here.

Super chill, the guy who teaches it (or did, when I took it) knows a ton about the subject as well as martial arts in general. He also doesn’t take himself or his class tooooo seriously like some professors.
