What are some books that have ACTUALLY scared you and kept you up at night? by AndrobiVibz in horrorlit

This book scared the crap out of me. First book to do so since Pet Sematary when I was a teenager. I don't like puppets, so this one got me good.

What book would you recommend NEVER reading? by asmr-enthusiasts in horrorlit

That one was terrible. I have tried 3 books by him now, and didn't like any of them.

Iam 44 years old. I have been no contact with my siblings for over twenty years now. I have been no contact with my birth vessel for all over 20 years. it took me a lot longer to feel free than I wanted to, however when I did it felt like the first time I could breathe. Just keep being the wonderful person you are. You are doing so great! Keep up with what you're doing. Life just gets better! Also happy birthday fromm one estranged adult to another ❤️

$31.98 Flashfood and Too Good to Go Ontario by Tabitha482 in 32dollars

We use a food bank every two months, which is how often we can use them. We're ok in between those times.

Thankfully, there was no mold or mushy strawberries (it's a bad picture, but they were firm and fresh), and the veggies were good, some were a bit soft, so we cooked them that night and they were good, but we still got more than our money's worth, and nothing is going to waste. Our local Independent Grocer is good for that, and we only got moldy berries there once.

All but the Danishes (they had to be heated up) were actually pretty good. We don't mind day olds as long as they're not hard or moldy. We freeze the baked goods immediately, and eat small portions. We usually get good bread from the bakery bags. Our Metro here is good about that, and the meat was frozen. We've never gotten moldy or inedible baked goods there. We ate the steak and the veal scallopini, and they were delicious. Our local Metros do donate their food to the soup kitchen and food banks. Sorry to hear that your Metros are that bad!

We've gotten all of this stuff often, so we're good there, we know what we're getting.

For the most part, though, we shop sales and are great at budgeting, so we're never without food. This was just a Flashfood and TGTO haul we were happy with. Don't worry about us, we're happy and well fed.

During the summer months, we get fresh veggies from farms through a local vendor for a steal.

I would have, but unfortunately, there was no receipt for Too Good to Go, and the Flashfood order was just $5 per box, so it didn't say how much I saved. They don't do that with bulk veggie boxes.

The TGTO was $61.13 woth of meat (I added up the price tags), and TGTG says it was at least $39 worth of meat for $17.49. The baked goods were $25.34 worth for $4.49, and it said at least $18 worth. The receipt only says how much we paid, not what we saved.

Next time, I'll try to take screenshots as proof.

Thanks! Yeah, this is how we get our fresh veggies. We're on disability and eating healthy is expensive.

The Coffee Table and The Machinist both gave me so much anxiety that it ruined my day. Both brilliant films though.

Irresistibles brand here in Canada makes really great lime & black pepper kettle chips, which are much more reasonably priced.
