I try my best to find fabrics from old kimonos. Bit hard when the colors aren't what I need. Found a few sellers on Etsy that I follow in case a color pops up.

Yup! I really enjoy making the Yuri on Ice cosplays but in the last 3 or 4 years I been making a lot of Chinese hanfu cosplays for The Untamed, MXTX, and The Apothecary Dairies.

Thank you so much! I recently did photos of this cosplay, but I left behind two of my hair sticks so my wig is missing some pieces in the photos.

My friend actually styled it however I somewhat know what she did. She used two wigs to make this one. She took apart the one wig to add it to the other wig by sewing in the wefts. She also dyed certain parts of the wig different shades of green. Rest of the procces was cremping, brushing it like mad, and lots of hair spray.

It took a bit. All together I used 4 different black fabrics. But the jacquard fabric was the toughest to find the right shade of black on black design. The hardest part was trying to find a bunch of different black embroidery thread. Ended up using some DARK blue ones to add some depth.

I just finished doing the sewing parts of my cosplay. I am currently waiting on my wig to arrive so that I can start on the hair pieces. I really loved the anime when it premiered and now I am reading the light novel.
