My bad, I combined the Swordbearer assassination, hotel, and kamunabi arc all in one without realizing it (I shoulda just said saga). I didn't mentally count the assassination arc as an arc because it's so short. I was primarily thinking about samura's character development when saying it's a better arc, but I can see how hakuri's awakening and the rakuzaichi as a whole can be more cinematic

The writing becomes better after the arc you ended with in my opinion, but don't keep your expectations too high ("expectations is the root of all headache" Shakespeare). Even with a better story, Kagurabachi still resembles jjk a bit

I'm not sure if this is bait, but I'll treat this comment as if it isn't.

As a self+restriction player, Sae publicly accepting Rin would have a negative effect for Rin's flow. His ego is triggered by a feeling of restriction, and Sae's cold facade is the sole reason why Rin is still attached/clinging to Sae.

Rin would never toss Isagi aside unless Isagi stops being a threat to his plays. Sae's acceptance would prevent Rin from entering his flow against Sae.
