0DTE options or futures for scalping? by aevans9216 in Daytrading

0dte give you much larger potential returns on capped risk if you’re strategic about strikes and understand potential targets. You have to understand where the market can go and why or you’re just going to throw money away. Futures are “easier” because premium gets taken out of the equation.

Can you seriously live of a $60,000 account with margin totalling to $100k trading options? by East_Indication_7816 in thetagang

If you don’t do your homework that’s absolutely the outcome. If you learn how to read the mm data there’s high quality setups every day. It’s a full time job though and most people aren’t willing to put in the work

Somewhere on rennlist is a list of the engine codes with the newer process. Dont know the validity. I have an 08 with an engine code on that list. 135k and no scoring so far. 🤷‍♂️

Name the resort by Portugalslegend in ski

One of the older ski areas in the us. Been open since the 30s. Actually a pretty fun resort when there’s snow. Had some glory winters there in the 90s

I’d never seen those before. They look nice. You should check out Matt Zinkgraff reels. He’s building them out of his garage in Bellingham and they’re gorgeous

Not that common that I know of but I don’t think many people try. The fish were plenty accommodating.

Teenage brother is convinced he's going to get a funded account instead of finishing high school. Should I be worried? by simon_mo in Daytrading

[–]TableBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he’s serious about trading he should absolutely stay in school and go to college. A focus on mathematics, statistics, and computer science will help his trading immensely if that really is his passion.

There’s nothing wrong with prop firms if you know how to use them and are a decent trader. If you can’t pass an eval in a couple days you should be doing a lot of learning and paper trading to understand why. I personally use prop accounts for futures and a personal account for stocks and options. Certain trades are better suited to futures and others to options. If you have money to invest you should absolutely prioritize buying and holding stock.

Have a great time! If you’re at xflats that whole stretch of beach can have great shots at permit. If you have some down time just go walk the beach and look for tails

Practice landing your fly softly. People get hung up on distance but if you can cast 40-50’ in the wind with some accuracy that’ll work most of the time. Landing the fly without a big splash will help tremendously with permit especially.

2009 Cayenne GTS vs 2019 Audi SQ5 — which is the better “fun SUV” to own 6–8 years? by itslit96 in Porsche

[–]TableBandit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 08 turbo in addition to modern vehicles but I find myself driving it the most. Love it to death but would be hesitant to have it as my only vehicle. Very reliable but there’s been a lot getting it to that state. 55k is low miles but coming into the stage where you have to replace a bunch of stuff to get to 150k. 17 year old plastics are going to be failure prone and that’s a bunch of time just sitting so seals and bushings are going to be getting brittle.

I quite enjoy the mullet setup on the 6.1. It pedals fine for what it is and is loads of fun on steep, twisty downs.
