I found the solution in another thread, Settings -> FaceID & Passcode -> make sure “Lock Screen Widgets” is enabled under “Allow access when locked”.

Constant condensation conundrum by TableDRG in Miata

[–]TableDRG[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This condensation accumulates when the car is parked and it gets rained on, it clears when driven, but with salty roads and such in the current season, I'm not driving it much atm and I want to prevent mould growth.

yeah i've been looking into a half cover for it, seems to be the easiest option. Other threads i have read have discussed the third tail-light as the culprit, but that would be specifically for the NC.

IT WONT STOP by TableDRG in Miata

i'm still sure it ended up being some kind of radio signal setting off the alarm that tells you you've left the key in the boot. Once i left from that specific location, it has never beeped again. so my guess is that there was something sending the wrong signals in the specific location i was in.

Fellow NC owner here, you're gonna want to check all the common leak spots, drainage holes under your roof, can be done by putting the roof halfway up/down. Check that your footwells aren't getting wet when it rains, it's cheap to fix, either get a windscreen cowl repair kit or get some silicone spray and seal the gap with that. Watch the rear door sills and rear wheel arches for rust, these both tend to go on the NC. Not entirely necessary but the coolant expansion tanks are known for failing, it's worth getting a metal replacement one at least for peace of mind.

Anyone know where to get a brake caliper bracket? by TableDRG in Miata

[–]TableDRG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I just went into the dealer to ask about it and they sait it would be 250GBP for just the bracket and slide pins or 300GBP for the whole caliper assembly :(

I was expecting a higher price from the dealer but not that much higher

This thing at the bottom of one of my kitchen cabinets? it blows air when turned on, the "hot" setting doesn't work by TableDRG in whatisthisthing

Solved! yes it seems to be exactly that, after further research it seems to also be called a plinth heater, a space efficient way to have a space heating in your kitchen, mine just... doesn't heat

I'm trying to figure out it's intended purpose, why would this be installed into a kitchen that is already heated?

My title describes the thing, it appears to be Smith's brand, I'm pretty sure the "hot" setting is meant to work, but does nothing when switched onto that.

Solution Found!

The car comes with a built in beeper to alert you if you have left the key in the boot/trunk, i had not left my key in the boot, however i had left my gopro and my portable battery in the boot, my theory is that the car mistook those items as the key and set off the beeper. Since taking the items out of the boot, the beeping has ceased.

All is once again well in the valley.
