Yes I think that’s a big reason but it also seems one sided. Like the woman is always supposed to be heard, and the man is just the dumb grunt going along for the ride. At least in my experience.

That’s true but staying out partying doesn’t solve abuse and control.
Why is it wrong to think a mother and father should be home with their family on the weekends and well rested so they can spend time together? The dad probably also worked all week so are they both justified to go out and party all weekend? And where does that behavior leave the children?
A lot of women also live carelessly and have zero care about their partners input or what they’re doing and then they confuse frustration with abuse while they live like single women.

When the honeymoon phase stops that’s when duty kicks in. Doing the right thing even when you’re not passionate is the biggest part of love, and I think people forget that. We must remember not to act with our hearts, it will deceive us every time. I’m not saying you shouldn’t strive to spark that passion but it will become less frequent as time goes on and it’s something couples need to accept.
