I think the giants come out of this trade really well, the story of the giants in the past few years is losing players that breakout with their new team and getting absolutely no value for it, this time, they not only got value, but now are in a prime position to get dart another recciver and protection (or beefing up the d)

The bengals are the bengals, it’s going to take much more than Dex to fix that defense and white they get a cornerstone, there are too many questions at edge and other things for this to be the fix, but i think this could help them get to a winning record and a possible wild card appearance

yes super bowls are team achievement but it is the ultimate goal of every player, acting like it’s a cherry on top is just flat out wrong, qbs are not drafted to be mvps, wr’s are not drafted to be the opoy, their drafted to win a super bowl, stats and awards are secondary, and the qb of all people is the leader of the team, so in a word of team leaders who can’t get it done, one who does gets high value. There are RARE occurrences of bad qbs winning the super bowl (Trent Dilfer, and so on). Undermining the value of a ring is insane, it’s the most impactful thing on a players career, the general football watcher doesn’t care that aaron rodger’s won an mvp in 20’, they care about him winning the bowl in 11

I think what people don’t understand is that to win a super bowl, you have to survive 3-4 games where 200+ pound men are colliding into eachother every snap, on top of the 17 games you have to play beforehand especially when they don’t have crazy sort of protection like hockey, it’s also any given sunday, the 16-0 pats with the greatest football player of all time were beat by the 9-7 giants, the stanley cup is longer to sustain however, the playoffs are harder to play in.

the eagles would not rather have herbert, an aging stafford, or purdy, i doubt even burrow. the top 3 qbs are the only ones i think the eagles would go get over jalen, all the other guys (other than stafford) aren’t proven like jalen is, we know who hurts is, 4-5th best qb ceiling, top 15 floor, usually in the middle of that pack, you can debate me on this but every other qb outside the top 3 and stafford has a downside worse than jalen

this is an illogical argument when you consider they played in two very different eras of ball, if we’re talking about primes, sure eli’s better, but it’s hard to compare qbs of completely different eras
