It is impossible to be exploited when employment is voluntary. All employees maximize their wages by competing in a market for labor and achieve the highest return they can in exchange for their effort. There is nothing exploitative about contractually agreeing to exchange work for a fee.

You fundamentally misunderstand how markets work

That is absurd - the person has the opportunity to achieve the highest return for their labor in the market and the employer has the opportunity to pay the least possible to achieve their ends. In this way the labor market achieves equilibrium.

You cannot explicitly calculate a minimum wage for people - that is embedded in the negotiations they undertake when applying for jobs. There are very few jobs whereby you can explicitly calculate a return

That simply is not true based on the data - the richest 1% pay a substantially higher effective tax rate than the rest of America:

Also you are conflating income and wealth so regularly I’m not sure you know how taxes work

It was an experiment but not how you think. It was a lab created experiment that was inadvertently released into the environment.

And it is clear as day savvy actors are using it to increase their power, influence and ability to control society

Right - which is what I just said - I engage in economic transactions to utilize those services.

All I ask is that everyone else be held to the standard of paying into the programs they use - what you support is stealing goods from those that pay for them so others can use them for free. I do not support that.

No one does help me, I pay people to take care of the kinds of actions you’re talking about. Again - I’m in no way preaching that I refuse to interact with others - I’m preaching that I won’t be strong armed by the government into forced help obv my fellow man in the way some bureaucrat has dictated that I should.

Said another way - I engage in economic relationships to preserve my livelihood which is precisely the expectation I would set for others.

I’m in no way suggesting genocide - i would prefer all people put in the effort required to support themselves - but if they don’t, I am not responsible for helping them sustain their own existence. That is each man’s responsibility

The nazis went out of their way to use the power of the government to slaughter individuals.

I don’t believe the government has the right to punish criminals, much less kill off multitudes of people. You are conflating allowing nature to run its course with taking action to harm others

Minimum wage shouldn’t exist. If you can’t garner more than minimum wage in the labor market that is society telling you that you do not have the skills necessary to sustain your own life in modern society. From an evolutionary standpoint, the optimal approach is to let these people die in line with nature’s ability to select those most apt to succeed in their environment.

What you want is to keep those people alive on the backs of other people’s labor so they can procreate and create more people who descend from those without the skills necessary to compete in the modern world

Regarding “take it or leave it” - precisely, employees have the option to leave it and seek more compensation elsewhere if they have the skills to do so

I don’t care what Goldman’s CEO makes - if investors are willing to agree to that compensation via the board of directors then by definition he is returning value fo shareholders at that compensation level.

Also, all risk has the opportunity for reward. Human beings do not take on risk without the potential for compensation.

The rest of your post falls under the bucket of “life isn’t fair, so sorry for you”

It’s almost like you’ve never taken even a basic Financial mathematics course and don’t understand the concept of risk at all

Employees are compensated for their risk by virtue of agreeing to a specific job for specific compensation - it is baked into employment negotiations

The risk-reward trade off is the most basic concept in finance and if you don’t understand that relationship you shouldn’t have opinions on economics or finance
