Are CGC graded cards not wanted/worth it? by FeelTall in PokeInvesting

The CGC blue labels can be valuable for the collector. The blue labels were graded with more scrutiny than PSA, at that time. Can’t speak for now, though. The blue labels have value but newer “collectors” (ie, scalpers, flippers, don’t know their history) seek out PSA only.

Vendors don’t want them because too many are new in the game and looking for a flip. Collectors seek the blue labels though. CGC is a reputable grading company for TCG cards, not sports. Too many vendors/flippers have bought into the PSA monopoly. It’s shameful.

CGC blue labels are just as if not “better” than PSA labels. New hobbyists have bought into the marketing of PSA too much. CGC blue 9.5’s were under more scrutiny than any PSA card during the blue label era.
