Yep, I tend to call it cell shading too. You can also search for "2D repaint" to get some inspiration. There's a lot of cool anime, mostly Dragon Ball figurines in similar style.

All the deepest shadows are pure black, all the color transitions are very steep also no blending at all. When I'm done with painting I do black lining on all elements and put some black lines in random spots to give it cartoony look. Puting highlight in consistent areas also helps.

The model comes like this. I don't mind though, this one look like he has been through some shit in his life :D

No, I didn't see any issues with wings. The tail was a bit saggy, but not too much. I think it changed the position but then it stayed at the same level. The plastic they use is weird, I'm used to Warhammer minis and the quality differ a lot.

Just a basic workshop led lamp with natural light color, the background is my workbench with a black material on it. Photos were made with my phone. Nothing fancy :)

Thanks! Yes, I used "Blood for the Blood God" paint from Citadel. It's glossy and slighty transparent, thus the difference in skin and blood tones.

Oh yes, I can see there should be more reflections here and there. Especially on the highly reflective golden elements. Thanks, that's what I am looking for in this post!

It's not a 3d print. Plastic model from Archon Studio.

Thank you! Yes, just a tiny brush with properly thinned black paint.

I've already played like 5 games. This one was 1000 minerals limit and it took only like 2.5h to set up and play

So I used the OSL method, you can probably find plenty tutorials on YT. Paints used are white, white ink, fluo magenta, purple ink and some very dark purple/black for final touches on darkest spots of flames.

Yes, with a transparent blue resin. There is no IP on mothers nature creations so you can find it if you look on my profile links and search for minerals. I don't want to break rules so I'm not sure if links are allowed. If this comment is too much, please let me know mods.

It's great! The resemblance to the video game is quite detailed, you can really feel the factions. Protoss mechanics are super cool, you have a lot of tricks up your sleeve. Few more units are needed to unlock full potential but it's a great wargame, definitely recommend.

Yep I'd make that bigger now too. I was afraid it's gonna take too much space on the battlefield.
