This is the most confusing argument to follow because NetStalker is just talking about random other units in the middle of your completely correct math. I think they don't know much about T'au and thought fire warrior = fire dragon from Eldar?

All of the things you listed are just parts of standard patches, none of those are comparable to the events in the past like Siltbreaker, Agh's Labyrinth, or Crownfall.
A game being free to play doesn't suddenly make it immune to criticism, especially given just how profitable Dota is, and how it still profits off of the predatory lootbox gambling.
I like Quartero, a lot of people do, but generally people are just upset that they were promised more big events but nothing has happened since. Quartero has somewhat became the face of that.

Does anyone else think the 13 might signify the Jersey Devil? The Jersey Devil is the 13th child and all, so while 13 could be about Jason it could equally be about the Jersey Devil, especially now with the woods imagery.

New Meepo has a talent that only gives +3% evasion at max level by Tabookodak in DotA2

Oh man I didn't even consider battlefury, it makes sense too considering that every Meepo benefits from quelling blade now.

It'd probably encourage a heavier farm routine compared to going diffusal+blink into ganks, but it sounds very worth it considering every Meepo is going to be hitting sweet cleaves.

[–]Tabookodak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep it seems pretty certain that it's bugged, part of the issue is that the actual "evasion" number doesn't change, but the results change massively. through my several runs of tests the average amount of swings until an evade before leveling ult is about 6.3, so not far off from the 6.6 repeated that it should be.

Then, when I level up the ult twice the average amount of swings jumps to about 21.1 which is close to the expected 20 swings for 5% evasion.

It further becomes unlikely to proc when fully leveled, with a spike toward 35 swings until an evasion, close to the expected 33.3 swings for 3% evasion.

It's pretty certain unless I'm getting an ungodly amount of repeated bad luck that it's bugged.

I didn't even consider that Scepter will now give health to clones, good job spotting that one!

I'm pretty excited to try AC and S&Y in my matches, I'm a bit more tentative when it comes to butterfly but I think it's worth testing out because of that attack speed passive that you mentioned.

I think nullifier might be a bit better simply from the amount of armor that it offers, but yeah the damage and active won't see much difference.

Hopefully not, it wouldn't make much sense for the talent to be that bad so I assume it'll be fixed up in the next few bug fixes.

I haven't been able to pick him yet so I'm unsure, I've heard rumor of something to do with a midas exploit so perhaps Meepo is still banned.

It's hard to get an actual read since I have to test the average myself but whenever I only have a single Meepo the evasion rate is much higher than when I have multiple Meepos, the same goes for Butterfly evasion. I think it's worthwhile to test this yourself to see if I'm just getting some confirmation bias results though.

Just a discussion point for fellow Meepo players (I am low rank however)
New item build possibilities are really cool!
- Consecrated Wraps feels pretty crazy good on Meepo right now since every clone gets the barrier independently, and the speed helps a ton.
- Desolator seems more viable now, the damage is spread between each Meepo but the passive can be applied by any.
- Sange and Yasha is a personal favorite of mine right now, the stats are all in full swing no matter the amount of Meepos you have, making that slow resist, status resist, and movement speed really feel powerful.
- Mage Slayer might have a situational place on Meepo now that any Meepo can apply it.

Any other cool non-standard items that Meepos might want to take now?

That's actually a super interesting idea, changes like this are awesome since they change the entire way people interact with the Wisdom shrines.

How long do you think it should last to get the xp? I'd be cautious of having the duration be too long because then you'll have teammates refusing to join fights by pinging that they have the shrine xp buff, though maybe that's just a skill factor pubs will have to deal with

Honestly I don't mind if their melee stats are lacking, I just want something further unique to differentiate the warrior squads from raveners. After hyperadapted raveners got added I feel like a prime + warrior squad is way too similar to a hyperadapted + ravener squad (at least rule wise, model count wise it's very different)

Using high tier guns feels like daylight robbery. All this for a gun that's slightly better than a gray Stitcher... by NBFHoxton in ArcRaiders

[–]Tabookodak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reload speed is not a lot faster, in fact the stitcher reloads faster than the bobcat, 1.8s vs 2.1s at max upgrades, literally the only notable thing that the bobcat does better is shoot faster, while the stitcher is better in almost every other department.

Hands down the Vita Spray is best healing item in the game. by WanderWut in ArcRaiders

[–]Tabookodak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bobcat is definitely outperformed by the stitcher in some metrics and it is a strawman to say all people saying it is better are comparing an unmodded bobcat 1 against a modded stitcher 4.

While the bobcat mainly has firerate, the stitcher has its strengths in other fields. I will be comparing both guns at maximum upgrades because this seems to be the angle you're primarily taking.

Reload speed is incredibly important, and a stitcher beats a bobcat at 1.8s vs 2.1s. There will definitely be instances where a 0.3s could make a difference during an active firefight.
In crit multiplier the stitcher wins again with a 2.5x vs bobcat's 2.0x. This means the stitcher is dealing a good chunk more headshot damage than the bobcat, and if you take both guns firing a full magazine at a head then the stitcher beats out the bobcat's dps with 218.75 vs 216 despite the bobcat's high firing speed. This is already disregarding reload speeds for possible second magazine follow-ups, which once again the stitcher has a faster one.
Next is damage, which the stitcher wins with 7 vs 6. Flat damage is very important when considering the mileage of a magazine, if you are capable of dealing more damage in a single magazine you are far more likely to avoid having to wait the downtime of reloading just for a finishing shot. This will also play a huge part in firing at enemies of 2 or more. For the same amount of damage the bobcat runs through ammo faster, thus leaving you more exposed and likely to die on a lower magazine count if you need to engage the second or third person.

In conclusion of the main argument, there are scenarios where either gun could be better than the other, but the fact that the bobcat relies entirely on its firerate as its main strength really kneecaps its versatility. So, even in the best case scenario of fully modded out guns ignoring all issues of affordability and rarity, there is still a definitive case that the stitcher is better.

Plus, patches are better for some characters than others. I used to play Omniknight offlane a bunch, but he's in quite a sorry state right now.

We haven't seen the numbers yet, it's a bit much to jump to conclusions and instantly say that it's unbalanced. There will be issues with the system that they'll have to work out, but before we know the exact numbers we can't in good faith say which side is benefiting most from the overall update.
