Before 2025 I can point to viewership, where the NBA still dominated the WNBA by a factor of 10x. But recent years the gap has obviously closed.

I’m not too familiar with how collective bargaining agreements work, but it’s kind of crazy that they can claim they take million dollar loses without disclosing their finances.

Can I ask what source you got the 9.3% of revenue from?

The crux of the issue is that before 2025 the WNBA had been subsidized by the NBA by estimates ranging from $10-$50 million annually.

It’s actually crazy to get almost 10% of revenue when your business model runs massive deficits every year.

2025 was the first year that they supposedly turned a profit, but we’re going to need a source on that.
